TTE525R+ Performance Upgrade Turbocharger

VW GOLF R & GTI MK 7 / AUDI S1 / AUDI TTS / AUDI S3 8V / AUDI Q S3 / LEON CUPRA & SC 5F / SKODA OCTAVIA vRS 5E / SKODA SUPERB SPORTLINE

TTE525R+ is our latest hybrid performance upgrade turbocharger for the new generation VAG 2.0TSI following on from our proven TTE470 upgrade stage. Stage 3 power with fast spool and response.

Engineered & Enhanced

To construct a TTE525R+ we change the original compressor and employ a far larger and more efficient billet wheel with extended tip technology and mill the compressor cover to optimum gap to match the new compressor profile. We replace the original IS38 turbine and shaft and CNC mill the turbine housing and install a larger turbine for greater gas flow. We CNC modify original compressor cover, for increased airflow. We replace the original recirculation solenoid valve with a Motorsport atmospheric blow-off valve that's included in the price.

We also fit our TTE CNC silencer delete. Modifying the turbo discharge silencer, removing the original baffle internals and fitting a new straight through section, removing any restriction and its function as a noise cancelling device, and so improving the flow, giving less surge and enhancing the sound.

Equilibrium

Precisely balancing our turbochargers is a key critical factor to become a TTE upgrade unit as longevity and performance are paramount. Good balance improves acoustics also. Subsequent great care is taken with all TTE turbochargers to achieving our balance standards. Firstly parts are balanced at slow speeds up to 2800RPM in multiple planes using our single parts machine, then components are assembled and then the CHRA are dynamically balanced, but this time depending on application at up to 250,000 RPM in multiple planes using our in-house VSR machine to acquire the ultimate equilibrium, to a standard far higher than OEM. Each turbocharger is supplied with serial numbered balance test result document.

⛔⛔⛔⛔️DIVERTER DELETE⛔⛔⛔⛔⛔

Want to point out to guys that you must not replace the LEYO BOV valve supplied with a TTE525R. The TTE525R is designed only to work correctly with a valve that vents to atmosphere.

⚠️Replacing with an original recirculating diverter valve is highly not recommended.
A recirculating valve, stock or aftermarket cannot function at all on a TTE525R due to turbo design changes made by TTE. ⚠️

TTE delete the diverter port in the compressor cover to give smooth air path for performance advantages. No turbulence, Faster Spool & Engine Response, More Power.

Tip: Red spring supplied with your LEYO valve can help improve torque and power especially in the mid RPM range on certain set-ups. Worth asking or informing your tuner to test

Please see picture below of original and TTE modified compressor housing/diverter port delete

On our car in the video

Ok, so no need for upgrade valve train like some one did write on facebook?

We recommend if want to get the most from yes. 550ps for example

Ive been directed to you quoting me on other forums. To be clear our car motor as right now is totally stock but from testing at 550ps we think upgrade valve springs is a wise move with this particular hardware configuration we used. We currently have the motor and package tuned at approx 500 / 590nm and is safe. We mainly tuned to this for a event the car is entering soon (500ps class) to date we have done 5000km on this package.

We have a spare motor that we are building up with upgrade forged rods and lower compression pistons and I might port the head a little as know are good gains to be made in flow. We plan to use APR upgrade valve springs we have on next step.

We plan to push and see what we can achieve safely, I expect more then 550ps we tested too already is certain.

Ok, thanks for clarifying it :)

What is the peak boost for the 550ps and 500ps dyno?
Also could I have the tech specs of the turbo (inducer/exducer size).

Thanks.

500 2,0 bar

550 2,3

Im not giving technical specs as yet on stages

Thing is if you want great reponse and power as we have this is the trade off.. Only have results to what i shared.

Hi Simon, any other tuners having a go with this turbo?

Quite a few sold world over so matter of waiting to see out come and results when shared by them.

UK... MRC Tuning would be a really good choice as have experance with TTE450 and proven good results on the dyno, also Unicorn I am sure could be a good option and id like to see that soon. Statller Performance Delvelopments is one to watch I think ;) Another tuner is ECO Tune in Scotland

I am leaning towards Unicorn but i am in the south.... MRC cant be used for various reasons.
Waiting on new DSG software from APR as that should handle the torque.

Curious to see how reliable it is on low boost. 500ps on a safe setup would be a great setup.

At lower boost level. 501PS 589NM

Approx 330Nm at 2500RPM and 500Nm at 3000RPM (EWG)

6000KM so far on this TTE525R

"Lower boost" = ?? :)
Do you think you can run like that with stock valve springs?
And stock clutch pack?

Info you ask is few lines above "500 2,0 bar
We are on stock motor now with the above. Clutch pack im not sure as we changed anyway to upgrade but we do have an issue. software we think.

Little 100-200Kmh testing at 500PS

over 3/4 full fuel tank of 102, Snow tyres and slipping clutch issue

Verfiied and corrected vbox time, 8,01 sec

Hi Simon.....

Great results, and an ever better range of turbos.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again now.....you need to get one or more of these running on a Syvecs ECU,and see where you can go with that.

To have torque ramping, adjustable TC/LC/ALS as well as all of the other benefits of that ECU would be quite a development I think.

He works with JD Engineering so i guess he ordered it with them.

Allready sold lot's of TTE525?

What other stuff do you use on your car ?
Intake , throttle pipe etc ?

Other then the turbo there car runs the same parts as yours part frome the upgraded clutchpacks. Throttle and induction pipe upgrade would be a good thing for better flow. Im going to do this to so you have no restriction between turbo/intercooler/engine. You might not end up with more peak hp buth when you can add power on the complete line your faster to.

Many ship this/next week. If your in our facebook (?) owners group your see updates..

Im on the group and im dyign to see more results other then your company car. I want to see what they pull with the dsg, how many hp with how much nm. Just learn everything about this turbo and see what it's capable of.

Got car back yesterday from some TCU software tweeks by MTR to stop the clutch slip issue. Hope to share new results today.

Shpetim's awesome black G7R

Mods: TTE525R & TTE intake, Wagner Intercooler, CTS down pipe, Armytrix CAT back, MTR Performance software

504PS 591Nm 98fuel 1.8bar

We dyno'd our Golf 7 TTE525R with new MTR software. This time on Provoteck dynostar to give another new independent result.
Spool is a little later on this new lower boost tune(1.6-1.85bar) to results previously shared. But still we are making 500nm at approx 3400rpm and see peak power of 500+PS & 600+nm.

102fuel same hardware as previous

We won our first Trophy at SCC500 event in Germany 50kmh rolling start to a 1000 Meter finish

2nd place was taken in our full weight Golf R TTE525R on pump 102 fuel only beaten by a TTRS TTE500

5th was also a Golf R TTE525R

New independent result from a customers car tuned at JDEngineering
