Thats just an S3 with a big turbo conversion, didnt MTM do a S3 with a modded RS4 lump in it (RS3)

From memory it's at least the 3rd time it's been on ebay, the last time it went for about 10,000.

You'd think the guy could at least change the listing details

Ryan, where did you read that an MTM k26 car wasn't much faster than a chipped S3 ?
I drove Hamskis car before he had it and let me tell you, it's a lot faster than my mapped S3. Mine is quite aggresively mapped too. 100% duty cycle on the N75, so the wastegate is shut most of the time.
The mtm car pulled much harder and kept pulling higher up.
I think you should tell that one to VST on RS246.

duty cycle on a n75 should never see more than 95%, raced one at pod and it was sub 100mph terminals.Also dyno'd one the same time as me,mine was 360bhp his was 290bhp,go figure.
Thats just from my experience.

I'd say the k26 car had problems with something. MTM have never been a company to misreprisent their power figures, unlike some tuners.

I think imola s3 said he raced one at crail and it failed to get over 100mph terminal.
 
I lapped two MTM big turbo S3s in only 11 minutes (about 11.3 laps!) of mallory park in March. That's in a jabba chipped K03 mk4 golf 1.8T.
They really are not very quick at all, in fact, with all the "MTM Big Turbo" stickers on them, it was a bit emabarrassing I thought!
Not that fast down the straights and both were barge like in the turns!

Just dont see the point of spending all that cash when a simple chipped mk4 golf will mince them up proper!

hahahaha Glow Sticks! he sounds like i lemon? i thought in some previous threads in the Audi A3 section it said you cant reach more than 280 horse power in an S3??? correct me if im wrong!!!!
 
thats with the K04 turbo, if you change the turbo to a larger one then more power
 
Oh sweet jesus - this car always seems to be on ebay - I'm guessing people buy it, realise it's a complete lemon and then sell it on again using the same advert

Why keep things quiet, do you not think some dealers will know and why stay quiet? As said before Audi would shout from the rooftops if they were starting to make it just like the R8 which would be more a a bigger secret to keep than a RS3 in production.
