I moved house about 3 years back and had only been in the place for a few days and the house was burgled...... the safe had not been fitted and as a result I had the following stolen

White Gold Rolex Daytona
SS Daytona
Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso
Tiffany (misc watch)
1 x Tag Chronograph (similar to warren_s5's black faced Tag)

All I was left with was my old Rolex Bi Metal Oyster

Keep the watch Porn coming..... it's all I have left to keeping going!

I am working my way through collecting the Casio Edifice Infinity Red Bull series.
Only got the 200 and the 534 at the moment but the missus has got me the 537 for my birthday.

Love the Tag Monaco, classic timepiece . I have a Rolex Submariner 16610, bought it in 2010, it's one of last of this model as it was replaced by the ceramic bezel model that year, I tried the ceramic but didn't like the larger / chunkier case. Mine has a random serial number rather than the traditional Rolex format with a leading letter and then numbers, which was only used for a few months, apparently watches with this serial format are quite sought after by collectors.
Others in my small collection are an Oris big crown pointer date, lovely watch, and a beautiful old Tudor Prince Oyster Chronograph (Pre Tiger Woods edition). I also still have my very first watch which was a Christmas present when I was perhaps aged five, it's a small Timex, with it's original leather strap, it still works and keeps good time but I rarely wind it these days.
Saving up now for a Comitti Navigator clock, don't know if I'll ever get there but that's the plan.

Iv got a few watches but these are my more expensive favourite 3. Would love a Tag Heuer or a Breitling but can't really afford one at the moment.

Have an Omega Seamaster but everyday watch is a GMT Master II

I'm still quite new to the world of high end watches. This time last year, Mrs Grumpy Old bought me a TAG Heuer Formula One Grande Date., and I love it. It's also given me a taste for nice watches that I didn't have before. Right now, I have an opportunity to buy one of these.

If I buy it, it means no new TTRS Rotors for the car.

And I took the opportunity and got it. It's a TAG Heuer Link Ayrton Senna, one of a run of 2004 watches, made in 2004 (although mine was first sold in 2005) to commemorate the tenth anniversary of his death.

Pics are a bit hurried, I'm afraid.

I've added to the collection over the past year and a half. In addition to the two TAG Heuers, I've acquired a couple of Omegas, firstly a Seamaster Planet Ocean and then, just yesterday, a Speedmaster Racing limited edition commemorating Michael Schumacher's first F1 title with Ferrari in 2000. 6000 were made, and mine is number 6000, which pleases me particularly. Aside from partnering the other Omega, I think it acts as a nice companion for the Ayrton Senna commemorative TAG. Here they all are together; i wish I could master the art of photographing watches properly.

Fine-looking timepiece, and as you say, something out of the ordinary.

Gorgeous. Mine are stored in the box you seen in post 53 above. It's from Aspinal of London - click here.

This is mine. Only just started being interested in watches. Must be an age thing ;0)

Can someone tell me where the best place is to get a watch valued and maybe sold?

I have a stainless steel TAG I inherited about 8 years ago my dad left me. I am not into watches and it just sits in the cupboard in its box. I think when my dad brought it he paid about £1500? I took it to a place called watch doctor in Tring and they thought it was about about £800 a couple years ago but they didn't buy them.

Otherwise I guess when I pop my clogs my nephew can have it.

I'd rather invest the money in my house then have it sitting here

Iv got a few Citizen and G-Shock watches. Bought a nice box off eBay for them. Would love a Tag Heuer or a Omega to add to the collection.

You can get a citizen one that powered by solar cant you? A colleague was showing me the other week, looked pretty cool.

Only Citizen I wouldn't mind owning is the Red Arrows edition with the little helmet etc.

Yes, all the Citizen watches I have are Eco drive so they are powered by light. Any kind of light so not just sun light. That's why I bought a box with a glass top and keep it on the window sill.

The Red Arrows one is nice. I would definitely recommend Citizen watches. For a decent one they are £200-500. I think they are worth it which is why iv got a few of them.

Never really been a big watch person myself although i do own 3....

A big clunky Timberland thing
Armani dress watch (bracellet not leather strap)
Citizen EcoDrive thing i got off inlaws for christmas.

Very rarely wear any of them
