New 2015 RS3!!!

Indeed. That sounds decidedly pants! I think the vast majority of the vids with sound have had the dynamic exhaust if that is anything to go by.

Yeah and I think Audi will have sent out all the demonstrators with the dynamic pack without doubt

Confirmed, no sports exhaust

that is just being revved and under no load whatsoever.. even my s3 sounds pretty lame, when revved not under load;. put it in gear and floor it, especially in Sport mode, and its a different story!

If you've ever done the same with a TTRS you'll know what I mean

Imagine what the sports exhaust sounds like under load then!

True, my S1 is the same. But compare that to the other static reving RS3 vids out there - they have all sorts of pops and burbles going on.

Hmmmm you can induce pops and burbles through constant blipping the throttle and momentarily overfuelling. Personnaly, the pops and burbles dont do it for me; its the throaty exhaust noise on acceleration :yum:

I've not seen another; loads on LC; I thought the launch video in the US (red car) had the std exhaust - that sounded pretty epic!

Oh it's pops, bangs and 'DSG farts' for me!

Are the dash and door inserts easy to remove? I would think that plastic dip or wrapping is the cheapest option. I quite fancy the red to match the RS Design pack that appeared on a few images

Iv just been having a flick through Elsa and they don't appear to be too hard to remove:

Do I need to charge my order at this late stage, and add the sports exhaust??? Another £500 - I already have the mag ride. Will it affect my BW?

I'd suggest putting an aftermarket one would get you the same if not better result. As we are early adopters you can get in touch with Miltek and other exhaust shops and offer to be a guinea pig for a heavily discounted if not free exhaust.

Adding the option now will likely change your BW yes.

I would add it, I didn't even want mag ride, but added only as I wanted sports exhaust.

Don't apologise mate, it wasn't aimed at you. It was aimed at the guy in the vid. Iv seen his videos before and he just grates on me ha

NICE: exactly as how audi-sport.net should be with non antagonistice messages between member; how refreshing....

I love it and wonderful in a car park but a few months on and you driving appropriately on a long-motorway run and I'll bet you'll be getting pi**ed of with it after a while.

With the 8P RS3 some owners - or their next door neighbours even - can't take the extra noise generated by the fitment of secondary cat' by-pass pipes so think on.

Love that noise in someone elses car park mind...

Cheers, I have watched that a few hundred times but I wanted to see if the 'purple' effect emphasized the black pack a little better.

Yep, done that; read the feature again and these guys are taking the Michael; sorry to ALL Michael(s) and my subscription is o v e r ..... Back to the classic car stuff, for now...

For me the Audi RS3 for me is a fantastic all-weather, safe, fast, quick, 5-door, 4-seat, road going machine for each and every one of our 52-week UK road conditions, period. There I've said it (again); gonna be keeping mine (said it again); and photos already posted of BLUEY's snow laden wheel-arch road going prowess.

Driven the range of Audi RS cars in anger over the last few years (no pockets in shrouds) both on road and track and in a variety of conditions and this RS3 machine is ace (but so for me is the RS7 and for RS3Copilot the S8) - and if there's anyone that doesn't like it then they just don't get to go in it... :whistle2:

Oh dear, did I just hear the sound of someone's toys hitting the floor outside the pram!? :friendly wink:

Don't mess with Uncle Johnny and Bluey!

I have to say that I agree with billyali86: the review mentions that the new car is improved on the previous in many ways. It does say that it isn't the bestest ever car in the known universe, but what does that matter? You have one because it fits all your needs and wants. Nothing they write will change that.

Roll on, Bluey! :racer:

Just came off the phone with Warrington, I believe theirs is in Panther black. Booked in for a viewing Sunday morning. Happy Days. Although would rather like to see some Catalunya in the flesh. #tornoncolour

Hey Mr. T: you're up early...

It's just that these guys post reporting on the 'new' RS3 that no one here in the UK has in their garage yet have the audacity to suggest "Jobs for the facelift" , tsk, as being "rebalance the handling", etc.

Knowing me as well as you do you can appreciate that I'd love to have Cacket and Saunders both strapped in a pram attached to the back of my 8P RS3 and....

Sorry... :bye:

Have a good one, weather here in the UK is cloudless...

Just back from the dealer, they have a Nardo grey one in. Had a good look around, then the dealer took me out in it for 15 mins. Its just far superior to the S3. All those videos on Facebook and Instagram of the start up and revs.....it sounds soon much better in the flesh. Much deeper burble. Got a test drive booked on Monday!! One big smiley face here.

Anyway, I went for the 8P RS3 'cos Michèle Mouton recommended it:

Not a pair of yout's from AUTOCAR....

And lets be honest about this; I've witnessed the things this girl used to get up to with an AUDI in the forests, but let's not go there...

Some figures a spanish mag got for the the rs3:

0-50 kph: (30mph) 1,5 s
0-100 kph (62mph): 4,0 s
0-140 kph: (87mph) 7,5 s
400 m (quarter mile) : 12,4 s
1 km: 22,9 s

140kph time is the is slightly quicker than an s tronic Tt rs (7.7 seconds). Plus is 7.3 seconds

Not bad for a car that weighs around 75kgs more!

I have to say that despite my previous comments about the "cabbage" I actually really enjoyed that video.

Iv upgraded my opinion of him to "clown" now...

Thanks for posting the vid though, great watch and there's some nice sounds of the sports exhaust popping and crackling in there.
