Brand new RNS-E won't take codes

Hello,
I purchased a brand new in the box 2010 RNS-E and installed it into my 2012 A3. The person doing to vagcom say it will not take any of the coding. The navigation never asked me for a security code I am assuming because it was unused and mated with my car. What I don't know is why it will not take the code, and I am thinking it is because of the security code even though it did not ask for it? Any help would be appreciated. I am sitting at the shop now and have been here for 5
hours!

Also I am using a 2010 genuine Lamborghini Gallado disk. Could this be the problem? The disk seems to work for the navigation and updating the software.

NHN not sure what you mean about logging the car as I have not done any programming before. I am only trying to get the AUX in function to work. Everything else with the navigation seems to work fine. The Bluetooth works, navigation works, I can see names and numbers of calls on both the navigation screen as well as the cluster. The only thing that does not work is the AUX in. When I press media it does not show AUX as an option. I have moved the wires to the new connector but it seems it is not enabled on the RNS-e.
The software says it is at SW version 260.

Yes NHN that is my problem. The guy could not get the RNS-E to enable the AUX in. The A3 had the AUX under the arm rest from the factory so I move the wires to the new harness. So I am not sure what my coding is as I am paying this guy to program it as I do not have access to a vagcom computer. The car also has sat radio which works fine with the RNS-E.

If the guy has vcds, why didn't he just look at the wiki or ring ross-tech direct for support unless he has a counterfeit vcds cable.

It pops up with a helper to explain what coding it needs, so I fail to see why he cant do it.

As I've asked now 3 times, what's the coding of the unit now, in other words, maybe try ringing him & asking what it is, if he's logged the fault & also I would look elsewhere tbh if they cant code it properly, its not the hardest of jobs to do tbh.

I am calling now as I type to see if he can give me the coding as it was. I did not leave the car there so I am not sure if it will be logged or whatever. I even brought a print out of that wiki page with me to show him the coding. I agree to me it sounds easy so there must be something going on.

Ok just got a call. I talked to the service manager who said I need to bring it back in and something about they think they need to fix another problem before they can code it. I have no idea what that means just telling you what he said.
Also this was the only guy I could find that would do this for me I called everyone in a 75 mile range and they were the only ones. No dealers would even listen to what I need done.
I wish I could tell you more.

Also I think he has some type of support through ross tech or something like that because he was going back and forth with them on the phone all day.

This seems a little strange in my eyes as this takes minutes to recode and cant see how the module would lock him out unless as NHN says its a dodgy cable.

I am pretty sure he expected it to take a few minutes also. He told me to come by and it should be done in less then a half hour. I mean there are write ups on the wall from different tuning magazines about the guy. He seems to be known in the VW/Audi community. His name is Chris Green. I think there is a problem as you all said it should be simple and only take a few minutes.

Better still, buy vcds from Ross-tech direct, say NHN sent you, then load up onto your laptop, create a free account @ logmein.com & pay me to remote access it to code for you

NHN that does sound like a good idea now that this is such a pain. The shop is close to an hour away, and dropping it off there all day does not make it easy to get to everyone to work on time. I will ask him again what is happening or the reason it will not work.

Ross-tech will send it for next day or so afaik, imho just buy a cable as they should of easily resolved this by now, taking the car there for all day & then not working still is pointless & its an hour away.

NHN, here is what he sent me. Again he said he tries to change the code and it won't accept it. Not sure what that means but that is what he said. I also have more stuff from the scan, but did not know how much I could put in this reply.

Well it doesn't have Bose, has BT, MFSW, Sat radio & antenna system is different which I would say you havnt sorted either.

I would try coding 37 with 0205775, it may differ a little because of the sat radio etc, but try this for now.

Also you need to go into 19 Can Gateway, click on installation list & tick the box for 37 Nav & Save, as its showing not registered, so showing incorrect coding for that module.

I still standby you getting your own VCDS & getting me to login remotely, its so much more convenient at end of the day & we could troubleshoot this allot easier.

I understand the coding is still wrong. The problem is the RNS-E will not accept new coding to change it to what I need. The guy trouble shot this problem with ross tech for a few days. NHN I would be willing to buy VCDS and have you do it, but I am not sure that will work. The guy knows what coding to use, but again the RNS-E will not take the new coding. So I am afraid to go out and buy this to have you tell me the same thing.

I suggest you get them to reload the firmware then, best I can offer is what I've given so far, without seeing what the unit is doing, I cant help much more, for all we know they're inputting incorrectly, its like Chinese whispers atm fella, no offence.

Could you help me to do coding on my rnse?Vcds cannot see 77 telephon mode.
Any help will be appreciated.

If you cant directly access module 77 then it cant be connected to the bus wiring or there is no power to it, check your wiring.

Did you type in module 77 direct instead of using autoscan?

Are there errors in the gateway module as you must enable the module in there 1st before it shows in autoscan gateway list.

First of all i did autoscan and then went to 77 telefon module. No success.I could not understand what are +2, +4 or +0004 meanings. Some coding and some adaptation are like this. Any idea? Please let me know.
