Not a fan of the new look at all peeps... Its like an unwanted app update...

Half the pics on the photo thread dont work anymore via mobile.. Is there anyway I can still click to go onto the desktop site!?

The mobile site and desktop site are now one and the same thing; the width dynamically adjusts according to the width of the device's screen.

I've not seen any horrendous issues on Android 4.4.2 (Galaxy S4), although I've not trawled the various pics-threads; it's likely we'll be making tweaks as we go along in the short term, since there was only so much we could test ahead of time.

What device and OS are you using?

I like the layout and format, it's different, and I'll get used to it quickly I expect.

However - the colours/text/contrast - I can't seem to be able to change these? The text is a little grey, and is quite hard to read for my tired eyes, so I'm wanting to increase contrast (darker on the white background) to increase legibility.

But the Colours button at the bottom don't do anything.

Also - any chance of a sans-serif font? :)

An issue I'm having with the reply box is that sometimes it goes crazeeee repeating characters or part words when I'm typing, givin gibberish. I have to delete and start again. This is intermittent so may not be 'you' but 'me' side of things.

How do I tell which threads have new content - in the past they were in Bold

Also in the past I could set the forum so that it showed the newest post first in each thread. Can I do the same with this 'new look'

Can we have a decent font for posts. The current one is so old fashioned. A similar font to the one used for the general forum information would be nice.

How do we use PMs.

Why am I listed as a 'New Member' when I've been a member since January 2003. Why do we have to us US date format.

Can we have the desktop site back please or is whole world ruled by the mobile phone.

As with anything new there are always things that need to bed in a tweek... We have taken on board some of your points and started to change a few things. So thank you for the comments and keep them coming :)

Don't like the new look website, colours looks washed out and no vibrancy. Add some colour please. looks like reading boring research site
 
Is there an option to change the skin so it looks like it was before?

PMs are at the top of the screen or in you control panel if you click you name at the top right

New member thing should have gone now...

Ok that should have fixed most of the embeded viedos ... some weren't emebebed so I can't do much with them right now.

Any chance of having an option to revert? This colour scheme suits my eyes like stabbing em with spoons would. As always, themes are a personal thing.

You know the black seperaters between different sections of the forum, is there an option to chapnge these bars to say red, or do you want to keep it all looking black & white?

I also like that the font is now sans-serif! thanks! makes it so much easier to read! plus that they are black black in the posts. But when composing a reply in the reply box, it's still a grey,rather than black. :)

Oh. And have we lost all the previous "Likes" ?
 
I guess none of us likes change but I'm sure we'll get used to the changes but:
1. TapaTalk seems to no longer work.Is this connected to the changes?
2. "Likes Received" seems to have disappeared from the Avatar section.
3. My signature picture has disappeared.
 
Please can you make a page 40 posts long, rather than the current 20?

Tapatalk has not been enabled and may not be enabled.

My likes have also gone but are still shown under profile and seems to have started a new like counter?
 
Is there an option in the new software to have multi quote reply please?
 
Also how can you tell when a member is online? It does'nt seem obvious like it was before guys???

So you made the same mistake as M$ have done with Windows 8 - tried to have one look & feel for completely different platforms, which IMHO just doesn't work.

I'm firmly with those who don't like the new look.

I like change where it makes something better, but for me the things I do often are harder to find and lost in a seemingly random "sea" of text.

As far as I can see at the moment New posts are not showing any different (ie Not in Bold) to the others on my desktop.
Can you PM me with an email address and I will send you a screen print. Not sure if or how this can be done using a PM.
 
Morning all, i personally think the new layout and software is fantastic. It has a nice fresh look, its fantastic on ipad/iphone, it runs faster and smoother. It has only been running less than 24 hours. Admin team spent months working on giving us a better, more responsive site. We tested it as much as we could, yes it has a few little niggles, but admin team are working flat out to resolve the issues. We welcome any feedback and if there is something your not sure/happy with, please let us know. :) X

The screen doesn't fit properly on iPhone 4s.

There's a black bar all the way down the right side of the screen which appears when you scroll using your left hand. Appears to me it's a result of the audisport logo being too wide for the screen.

And the colour options tab at bottom of page returns you to the homepage

1) Making assumptions to compare ASN Admins to Microsoft roadmappers is analogous to comparing oneself to Jesus. It rarely ends well :p

As a few have said; we've spent a long time working on this, and honestly, it worked & looked alright to those who'd tested it. Also as has been said, there's only so much we can predict & test ahead of time, whenever significant changes are made we do expect to make a few tweaks after going live; we're grateful for your patience and assistance in getting that part done [and hopefully to the satisfaction of the largest possible percentage of members].

Simply saying "the things" you do often are harder to find and lost in a "seemingly random[?!?] sea" of text does smack a little bit of someone not liking change because it's change more than its presenting genuine problems.

Please, if there are things you don't like, or don't suit your device/screen, let us know; but do let us know. We'll consider suggestions and requests for tweaks & changes of specific things once the issue is explained; but for the recrd, we're not going to keep tweaking until the new site is a perfect facsimile of the old one.
[EDIT: ...The old software was what looks to be the last usable build of that platform, and was not long for this world, we want to improve native mobile compatibility (understanding there are tweaks to come) - which relies upon responsive software & styling; and there are significant new features in the pipeline which need the new platform].

@h5djr It's possible to send a screen-grab via PM; just paste it into Paint (or whatever) and save it as a JPG to attach; but I think I can see the oversight... On the main forum index (the 'front' page, audi-sport.net/xf/index.php ), you'll see that forums with new messages are shown quite distinctly with the heavier text and darker icon; I imagine my colleague just missed that the thread lists (i.e. after you click into a forum) are a separate element - I'll have a poke about if I get to it before he's back. [Please let me know if I've misunderstood]

Same here, I tried to change the colours as well.

Thanks, we'll have a fiddle with the logo and drop you a line to check it (if that's alright?).

The colour options thing is a known bug [read: high priority thorn in our side which we hope to get working ASAFP! :) ]

Thanking you for making the forum separater bars red, visually it makes the different sections so much clearer and the site distinctive now :)

Oh,and the background colour for stickies is perfect now (light pink), much better than that beige-y colour.

PS - the VCDS users map is not displaying?

Glad you like those tweaks :)

VCDS map not visible seems to be a snafu related to permissions - the new software uses a different structure and it seems the database-migration struggled with a few accounts; this of course is one of our higher priorities - I'm looking into it this afternoon, and would expect that at the latest it should be sorted for tomorrow (I might take the site offline briefly in the wee hours to reset all the permissions).
