snapped 2 turbo to manifold bolts

Driving home from work today and got a horrid noise from the engine bay luckily I was nearly home and managed to make it back
Turns out 2 of the bolts from turbo to manifold have sheared off
Not fun

at least you only have one bolt to remove to get the turbo off

This is true every cloud has a silver lining going to have to get my mate to knock me up a couple of threaded inserts for the turbo though

I'm ok taking the down pipe bolts off and the tip and stuff but the mounting bracket I have no clue lol

Single ()13mm bolt through the bottom of the hotside of the turbo... apply heat if you can as they normally weld themsleves in

Forgive me if this is a really bad idea but could I drill the 2 out and use an m10 tap to clear a thread out?

Sorry dude... opening yourself to a world of pain... you should be able to undo the last bolt and undo the support bracket bolt then lean the turbo back enough to wind the broken bolts out... double check the thread inserts are flush as they have a tendancy to wind out too... new gasket, new (OE) bolts and don't lose the thick washers as they are expensive

That's it the head is coming off I have just noticed this too

A half eaten cambelt is never good for business so new head gasket and head bolts new manifold new cambelt and water pump (wish I could afford to do the rods) anything else I should be changing

So that's the remaining manifold bolt the hanging bolt and 2 down pipe bolts off just the remaining down pipe one and should be pretty free
