Anyone else got a wife who abuses their car

I've curbed more wheels than my wife has owned cars.

My wife must have a fascination with fuel warning lights in whichever car she's used, because once I get in they always seem to be on!!

Hi Guys,
Here is my side of the story, I have an A3, husband has a VW, so I drive and change gear to the sound of the engine, I don't need the ****** thing on the dash to tell me. I am not a muppet, my dad who owned a garage taught me to drive.
I don't mind how he drives his Vw, but when he drives my car, I am constantly telling him to change up. I can feel myself getting wound up, he will sit in fourth gear happily tootling along.
When we reach a junction with a large kerb on my side and he is about to turn .I am cringing waiting for him to kerb my car and scape my alloys.
As my dad says, he taught me to turn on a sixpence and reverse like a demon.

I also like cleaning my car, by hand. Hopefully hubby will be helping me today when I clean it.

My wife and kids have the S4 Cab you can imagine the state of it inside and she has hit the same pot hole twice which has scraped the nearside rear wheel the whole way round, we have had it since Jan 14 .

My wife saw my post not realising it was about her and said that she's not the only one that has done it.

My wife Kerbed my brand new a4 19" rotor wheel within a mile of her driving it on the first night. After multiple swear words and a few minutes of silence, I got the "it's only a wheel" response. Some more silence involved and almost a tear down my face

Same here, kerbed the 19's 2weeks after driving out the garage! Her response? "Must have happened after I parked the car", yeah funny that, I've often seen kerb stones happy slapping wheels as I walk home!!

The wife has a habit of turning the wheel whilst stationary and not turning it whilst moving away knackering the tyres !

I think my mrs is an oddity. The rare occasions she drives mine I have to actually tell her to abuse it. She does like to change up at about 2krpm and I always have to tell her to hold the gears. I think if she dinked a wheel she'd actually be mortified, she really does understand what my cars mean to me. Although she doesn't get why I spend time and money and lavish attention on it to then rag the **** off it round a race track at 3 figure speeds.

It was raining this morning and she was waiting for me to open the car with her umbrella up. We got in the car and she decides to put the umbrella down as she's sat in the seat. scratching the roof of my car!! I was absolutely fuming with her!!!!

Damn it, I hate that! I'm constantly mentioning the same thing to my wife, but for some reason it still happens...

Just wish she'd abuse me as much as she does her car... (is that inappropriate to post?)

Must say my Missus drives mine perfectly, however as a passenger is a nightmare! Rubbish left in door cards, bare feet up on dash when I pick her up after a girls night etc etc - heartbreaking!!

My woman don't drive praise the Lord!! And her attitude is I waste money on the car and I should expect it to get scratched as that's wot happens to cars!!! Then few weeks back either my 4 yr old or her friend on the bikes caught rear os door with there bike handlebars resulting in a 12" scratch she couldn't see the problem as that's wot happens to cars!!!! I cried :sob:the kids are now banned from the drive riding on there bikes trikes scooters on the drive when the car is there, and she thinks I've gone OTT:scared2:

If you start to find nicks and small indents in and around the buttons and switches on the dashboard - its the missus and their long finger-nails! I got my missus bang-to-rights on this one and she had to own-up. :D

I have an old banger Audi 2000 so i really shouldn't care. But still, she won't touch my leather clad v6 TDI 2.5 TDI. NISSAN MICRA

Curbed alloys, every car in the last ten years and she denies it. I had a (concourse) in my mind ST220. Went away for a week came back all four alloys were knackered. Luckily for me (sorry wife) she has a rather bad knee so we got her a DSG Golf. When I was doing the deal with the dealer to get mine she comes (hobbling quickly) in to the office as I am handing over the cash "STOP" she shouts, I've just noticed it's a manual. "Almost as if I planned it that way" I said, never spoke to me for a week! Eight months later and she has never drove it yet!!!! Alloys like new!
