Hi Folks,

My 1999 S3 has a Forge turbo outlet hose between the Turbo and the hard pipe, been in place about 2.5 years and has popped off twice in last 3 months, last time was Sunday and has now come off a third time. RAC re attached it on Sunday and tightened the jubilee clip as tight as possible, my thinking is the jubilee clip not man enough for the job any longer.

Is it possible to get a high torque jubilee clip that I can try in the hope of stopping it sliding off again? Any suggestions welcome.

Cheers in advance

Yes there the ones

Firm setting hair spray. Spray it inside your hose before you fit it, fit the hose and clamp it down, it will set and grip the hose.

t-bolts are over kill and not a very nice clip to do up... use JCS hi-grips and they will be fine..

Clean the inside of the hose with brake cleaner and make sure the end of the turbo and the end of the charge pipe are oil free..

JCS Hi-Grips have better feel and you can feel when they are tight enough... unlike t-bolts that generally either leak as they aren't tight enough or crush pipes from over tightening
