Well something for your thoughts.

here are vmr reps in 18 inch, 8 at front and 9 rears. tyres have a bit of stretch but gives an idea on the car. these were from my golf gti but wanted to see what they'd look like on the S3.

also you could head over to http://www.flickr.com/photos/vmrwheelseurope/
for a look though the saloon is not there at the moment. it will give you some idea.

i want some VMR 701 in 18 inch as i want to lower the car but there are none spare at the moment. only in 19 which are more expensive than the 18s i want plus i have tyres spare for them in 18. so the wait to september continues.

I think the design looks pretty good but the far lower offset required on the S3 would harm the looks a bit IMHO. The original one pictured obviously has a large offset producing the "dished" effect in the middle which is a large part of what makes them look so good :)

They fit perfectly on mine, albeit it's an SB, but I assume the wheel width/offsets are the same? I'm running V701s in 19x8.5ET45. Poke up maybe a mm or 2.

Thanks for all your answers. As fas as I know, the SB comes with 7.5 wheels, instead the 8J that S3 saloon has.
I'm still thinking about it!

You got any pics with those wheels fitted mate?

Very nice! would you mind posting photos showing how flush they sit with the guards, and offset, size, tyre choice, etc?

Or is it all as per your original post?

Thanks - do they sit flush with the guards or would you need spacers with the ET45?

Hey, quedaron muy bien, felicitaciones! - They fit great, congrats!
