Getting ready for my long awaited operation today. In at 7am tomorrow. Wish me luck lol.

Not much going on over here, got the garden all chopped down yesterday and tidied up too, just need to wait for the neighbours to have their fence put up before I can lay the lawn down and finish it off, then I need to look into seeing if the other neighbour wants to replace the fence on their side, although I may have to bite the bullet and diy!!

Lets see, also need to see if I have enough money too....lol.

Made a huge difference though as its noticeably bigger and so much more 'play' space.

Looking forward to some time off too as the little one breaks up on Friday.
 
Good Afternoon knowledgeable pub lot.

Does anyone know where to get a 4 way coaxial switch box?
I got 4 nintendo consoles I want to wire up to my tele but I need a switcher box so I don't have to keep plugging them in or unplugging them.

I've looked on eBay and Amazon but can't find anything.
That's a lie, ebay have them for £60ish and I'm not paying that.
 
Morning all,

Its almost the weekend but tomorrow is half a day friday. So WooHoo
Buying a 13pin to 7pin adaptor for the towing electrics so I use my tow bar bike rack, then off to exeter to see a friend to add all the new shiny parts to my bike, buying a gamecube, picking the mother in law up cause shes visiting and then I might build some more shelving for my Nintendos.

what you guys got planned?

Worst nights sleep as it so hot
Apparently there was thunder last night but slept through that.

Going to a Gurkha restaurant tonight, never tried it before but menu looks decent.

Enjoy your last day Westy! Leaving drinks straight after I'm guessing??

Fred, it will be a shock after so long, I did it recently after 6 years and that was pretty tough, hopefully the new place you are going to will be good and you will settle in pretty quickly, have a drink or few mate and enjoy the evening.

Jay, I just Googled a Gurkha restaurant and the menu does look pretty decent actually, looks like alot of Indian and Nepalese dishes (Nepalese chefs are awesome!!!)

What a nice day.

I continued yesterday's work leaving celebrations through to today with a BBQ and a load more beer. Just settling down to watch a film.

Will be drinking again tomorrow too as meeting friends in a local pub. That will make it 5 days in a row of drinking!

I assume everyone else is having a nice weekend?
 
Weather heres been poop this weekend so far.
Off to the Scottish car show in the morning, should be a good crack.
Apart from that its been quite a quiet weekend.

I had a good weekend, I hope you all did as well.

Saturday was my first time using the towbar bike rack and its amazing.
So easy to use and set up.
When the bike is off the rack it fits in the boot for secure storing. There is no worry about hitting car park roofs (again). The rack also sits high so you it wont bottom out when going up and down steep slopes.








Tilt mode so I can get in to the boot.


The car even knows about the trailer.


I also picked up my grandads 8 track player.




And a little roller storage chair.


O and this old school volt meter.

Weekend weren't bad Scott. Gurkha was delicious best food I've eaten in a long time and was so fresh....

Nice rack btw ;)

Did you go cycling in the end? Or just playing with the new toy?
 
Thanks Scott. Had a good first day. Pretty laid back and slow but it's normally like that for new starters I think. Got loads of new IT kit there and I've been given 2 laptops lol. One for win7 and one for win8 as we support both. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Westy, why not just have one with a virtual machine on it for the less used OS?
 
Phew! What a scorcher today, struggled at work, hate working when its hot like that.
Still shouldnt grumble, it'll soon be winter again. Lol.

Yeah the show was good Scott, again super hot, glad its back at the highland centre, much better outdoors.
Saw some sweet motors there, also a few howlers.
Nice to see the ASN crew there as usual.

I also received a surface pro 2 yesterday too! I've got all this kit from a hardware point of view and not just for OS reasons. Everything I do is SCCM related so I need to test across multiple machines to make sure it all works before it's deployed to the staff.

Still alive and kicking here!
Had a mental hot few days at work lately, not good!
Crazy, took a few days out of the whatsapp chat to focus on family life! I was starting to neglect the little un with phone firmly planted in my hand!
I will be back, honest!
Finally got the little one riding her bike properly!
Such a good feeling of accomplishment! We have both been out on a couple of miles bike ride this afternoon!

Been off on hols for a week and its my first day back today....im seriously flagging now!!! :(

It was in the Cotswolds for a week, was really nice and the weather made such a difference, actually felt like we were abroad.
 
Alright Fred, good to hear you are enjoying the new job, it can be quite daunting after being somewhere else for so long.

What happened to the car, was it the clutch issue you posted about in the 8L section??

Thanks Nilz, yeah the car has needed a new clutch, flywheel, and full gearbox recondition. Picking it up in the morning. According to the garage the SMF is a bit noisey! Oh well they normally are on diesels and I wasn't sure whether it would be better or worse then the one that's just been removed.

How is everybody? Very quiet in here nowadays!
 
hi all,

my weekend resulted in a nice picnic Saturday, as weather was stonking, and then polished and waxed the cupra, ready for bed as it's currently SORN. Quite pleased with the Halfords pro car cover, not a bad fit and seems pretty durable too, with three strong straps to help it tied down that run underneath the car

MOT had expired and lots to do to it at the moment, so it made sense at the time to take it off the road while I replaced lots of bits and pieces

Nah it's not too bad. Just opened up the box with my old South Bend clutch and flywheel in and I can't actually see why they said I needed to buy a new clutch! I'm sure they said the pressure plate had broken!!!

All good over here, although very tired!!

Roads are alot quieter here too due to the school hols, however arranging care for the little ones can be a right nightmare!!
