Post Pics Of Your A3/S3 8v In Here

Agree. If something were meant to be done with them then surely the design team would have exhausted this possibility pre production. I have seen a car where vinyl pieces have been placed in the shape of the triangles...looked pants imo.

They are obviously finished, I really like them - something different and looks great. Will make for some awkward paint work / plastic detailing lol

Pics of my new A3 picked up last weekend!!

Hopefully my new order looks as good as this!

I've gone sans Roof Bars, but I'm really thinking I should swap the auto-dim drivers mirror for roof bars before it's too late. Any opinions?

Looks great! You have a similar car to the one I have on order (except black styling) so it's nice to see actual pics. The LED lights look good! Enjoy, I have about 4 weeks to go :(

Cheers mate, I actually washed and clay'd it last night to save a bit of time today, so all in probably took more like 8hrs!! But well worth it.
I had to get rid of the swirls the dealer kindly put on for me!!!

As for the plates I have been putting on short plates for years now, the rear looks really good with them as there is no plate recess and yes the front is the same size.

You've never been pulled by plod? Just those plates on your car aint legal, nice as they are.

Sorry, I know posted a while a go, but that looks ****** great! Well worth another view. Got me feeling good about the three door again
Along with white that is arguably the best combo with black pack and S3 alloys.

They may not be legal but the font and the spacing are, which means plod's plate recognition system can still read them, that's all plod is worried about really so they don't bother me.

I can't tell without measuring but 'short' plates are not illegal.

There is no specific size only guidance. The key is to ensure that you have the correct spacing between letters and a minimum amount of reflective material at either end of the plate before and after the first and last digit. IIRC it's 16mm of plate.

I also have short plates and looked it up last year and had some made up.

You also need to ensure that you don't cut off the postcode too. As that's a legal requirement. :)

Picked up my S3 Sportback on Saturday, not great shots from my iPhone but that's all the time I had over the weekend (and then it rained :sorry:)

Loving that mate, grrh, gonna have to stop looking at pics of sepang whilst I wait for mine!!:(

Found a few more:

We had all sorts of weather and light conditions over the weekend, I'm surprised by how much the colour changes. It does look darker than you'd expect when it's dull, yet when the sun appears it really brightens up. So far I'm happy with my colour choice ..

It now appears from the Audi site that Daytona Grey is a standard colour on the S3, can anyone confirm this?

Picked it up yesterday, superb feel to the car and plenty grunty up to 3k revs. Averaged mid 30s with 150miles done and only driving complaint is the damping isn't ideal for bouncy UK back roads but mine isn't staying in the UK.................
Manual gearbox (lovely positive action and recommended), alcantara interior, Audi upgraded sound system superb as is interior light package.

BUT how do I get rid of the poncy stickers on the passenger side sun visor as they are so cheap? Very pleased so far.

Surprised you were happy with the York dealership - they were by far the worst dealership I have ever had to deal with!!!

Well After attempting to pick the car up on 31st of May and discovering that the dealer had installed dealer fit swirl marks in every panel and then the battle ensured with the dealer to get them to get it corrected to what should be brand new condition. I finally have had an amazing job carried out by a local detailer called Envy Car Care in Fareham.
He also applied Liquid Elements SHEILD ceramic coating with should help with the S3's extremely soft paint. I was told by 4 detailers the same that for some reason the paint on the 8V is REALLY soft!!
Anyway I managed to get a few snaps before the rain fell last week with dust from the dessert it seems... Enjoy!

I know I have posted these before but hey.... I love my Masano Red :)

I bought the first S3 in Ireland and it was the Audi Ireland Press Car. The car gets better and better every day so here are the Press Pictures.... again, for your perusal ;)

One pain is trying to keep the 4 pipes soot free and clean!

Beautiful car but what a brave man buying a car which the press have been let loose on!!

Although I haven't got my car yet I know what you mean about cleaning the exhaust tips - my TT is just the same but fortunately I've only got two to do!
