Does anyone know if when tuning the s3 if you need to change anything and what are the top end for bhp and torque on remap, what cam we push these to on standard inturnals??

Can I just say there are lots and lots and lots and lots of threads on here about tuning S3's, what to fit and what are the best remaps etc etc. If you use the search function you will have hours of endless reading.........guaranteed

Many thanks my friend.

If it becomes a sort of reference then I've given back a good bit of what ASN and VAGOC have given me.

To Danny .....

It will give you direct info but may give you and your wallet a headache.

Haha true and thank you

Good luck and enjoy the thread.

This place can give you a lot of help and save a heap of time and money if used properly.

Of course it can also help you to spend loads.

With respect to your original question ....

360-380 bhp is the ragged edge of the stock turbo.

Engine internals are good for 440bhp/440lbs but you need a lot of money to get there and beyond.

Stg2+ is the best bang for your buck.

Alex, do you ever take your S3 out and about as such, I've read your build thread and see so many references to it as a great example of what can be done with an S3 I feel I need to see this beast lol

Uprated clutch is needed after or at stage 1 for a manual, an uprated intercooer is nice but not essential for squeezing the most amount of power and remeber if the car is a older model the DV will probably need updating to the latest revision!

Hi Dan,

It's my everyday drive....out and about and has to be reliable.

It does spend a fair bit of time having holidays at AMDTuning as well.

After driving mine with stage 2+ for the first time, id say stage 1 is a waste of time. :D

A stage 2+ S3 is a bit of an animal!!

I guess most of us start, there, and I certainly did,but it leaves you wanting more.

STg2+,as I often say,is the best overall value for the S3.....plenty of torque and usable power, and not gob-smackingly expensive.
