Diesel Remap?

Hey Guys

Im picking up a brand new 63 plate A5 Black Edition 2.0 TDI (177) Quattro on the 17th, as I did with my S3 I shall be looking at getting a little bit more power out if it, I took my S3 to Awesome GTI 1 week after purchase to have Stage1 and coilovers done and never looked back, but not sure what to do to the Diesel engine, remap or tuning box? What would you guys suggest and where would the best place to go? I am in High Wycombe so Manchaster isn't exactly round the corner! Cheers guys

I would go for a remap over a tuning box. I tried a box on my 2.0 TDi 170 but it didn't drive very well especially with cruise control set, so I removed that and had a remap instead and am very pleased with the results. By the way, I had the map done by AmD in Essex.

Have the Revo stage 1 on my CR 170 2.0TDi Quattro and it's great.

Smoother and a lot more power.

I have a DTUK box on my 3.0tdi and mid range seems to be better, but still not had a chance to play with the settings. Problem with the new ecu's is they have to be removed for a remap so box was the way to go for me. I have used DTUK before and also had a remap on a previous car and didnt really notice the difference between the two. A mate has had his 2.0tdi mapped though and he says it is well worth it.

Pick up today went well, full tank of fuel and 2 bottles of red on collection.

Got them to de badge it there and then, took 5 mins

I think im gonna miss my S3, but still over the moon chopped it for this..

Power increase is amazing and don't really care about the fuel as I always drive in S mode

Had mine fitted now for a little over 6k, results are impressive. Never really see consumption fall below 55ish, had 67mpg on a 50 mile trip down the m1 which was amazing!

Whoops yeah that was an error, mine is 100% DTUK CRD-T kit and I'm very impressed!
