Scott, I went out on the bike last night, it was ace! Here's a pic, up on Ilkely Moor. Had a right laugh, and took my GoPro, so caught some comedy Gold off's. Once i've sorted and downloaded them i'll try upload a vid or so. But don't expect it anytime soon!

I've started going out on my own. I just accepted that my mates all love football and don't care for bikes, but it won't stop me with my hobby. When you're out there's often people there alone, so you don't feel like such a loner ha!

Afternoon chaps!

Just saw the thread about Dave - never had the privilege of meeting him in RL, but could tell he was part of the furniture on ASN and will be sorely missed. Very sad, especially so suddenly and at such a young age. :(

Hope the rest of you are all OK? Will probably be visiting Inters for the day (most likely the Sat) so will keep an eye out for you all & come say hello if I spot any ASN flags / banners / stickers etc.

Random information of the day.
I almost got ran over by a electric car last week.
I was working on my car, stepped back to take a look at something and heard a noise.
Looked around and there was this car about 6 inches away from.
I stepped back and it moved away with no noise.

I fear its the future.
 
So, had a barney with the wife last night, she now wants me to not go to Inters, and then suggested she comes along for one night.

I replied with "hmmmmmm, no"

Im getting really annoyed with the sap from the trees, its that time of the year again where my windows dont even go down as they are stuck and my car is stickier than a sticky thing!!
 
Fred, I did not say that I was not going, or that I was bringing her. I was merely venting that she thought it appropriate to ask me not to go. ;)

I'll be there with my knickers in the air, don't you worry.

I could glam it up and say i work in the engineering business producing ball bearing hubs for VAG, Mercedes, PSA, nissan/renault and Toyota!
But i wont, i work in a smelly *** factory working ridiculous hours 😞

How are you finding married life???

I've been the same this week Chez, working night in this heat. Sucks.
Theres something quite surreal about wearing shorts and T shirt outside at 3 in the morning.
Still, one more to go. Finish at 6 tomorrow morning. Woohoo.

My rims still haven't arrived yet and its doing my head in, I really hate waiting on things.
Still getting used to the bigger car, defo not as easy to throw around as the 3 was.

Any plans for the weekend gents and gentesses(made up me thinks)

I love big cars. So much nicer than little cars for big long runs. You can't throw them into bends as easy but I enjoy the comfort side of just pointing and chilling.

Got any internal pics of the new motor?

Married life is the same as before apart from the ring on my finger.
Its taking some time to get use to it and when I take it off to go to bed I can still feel it. That's a odd feeling.

My weekend plans are as follows:
Friday, Car to AC specialist to find out what's going on. I need to get this AC sorted before the drive to Inters.
Saturday, I'm taking the immobilizer out of a Xr3i Cab, finishing off some wiring on a MK3 golf Cab project car and playing the Xbox.
Sunday, I'm making a portable music box for Inters. I need to pick up some bits and it should be done.

Interview next week.
Debating taking it off or phoning in sick.
Its a all day working interview, so could be interesting.

Does anyone know for sure that current employees can't refuse you time off for interviews?
 
Morning all. I've been trying my hardest to get in shape for my wedding/holiday and it's killing me. All I want to do is curl up in a dark room and sleep! Been doing this workout for nearly 3 weeks now and I am aching like ****!

Hoping to fix our MK5 golf GT TDI this weekend. It requires a new fuel pump which is a horrible smelly job to do. Apart from that I'll be watching footy and sleeping ;)

I've been waiting just over a week, yes I know thats not a long time, but I am severely impatient.
There coming from Germany as far as I know, I got them thru Brotek, got my last rims there as well.
Bought some Wolfs rim shield to help try and keep some of the ****e off them.
I'll get some interior pics this weekend, its alcantara and leather, which is nice and soft. Not as slidey as full leather.
Yes the bigger cars are much better for those long cruises, i do about 30 miles a day to work so that helps.

As far as I know they have to let you have time off for an interview, well they do at my work
But if I was you I would take a hol or pull a sickie, that sort of thing is best kept secret IMO.

Hope it all works out though.

Whens the wedding Westy?? Just think though, once its over you can let it all hang loose.

Counting down the hours till I finish work at 4pm..... then off till Tuesday :)

Hopefully get the car finished off tonight, and then get it all cleaned up and ready for a trip to CumbriaVAG on Saturday. Beers, BBQ's and shiney motors.

Safe to say i'm quite excited about this weekend!

Scott, with regards to the time off, they dont have to unless you are in a redundancy notice period or something along those lines, otherwise they can refuse, best to keep it to yourself and go with it.

Whats the interview for, is it like an assessment day sort of thing?

Oh and I highlighted the message - nothing there!!!

Westy as long as the trousers and shirt fit on the day, dont worry about what happens after that ;)
