I've been an Audi-Sport member for over ten years. My first Audi was an S3 (8L) and I used the forum extensively while having that car. Since then I've had an A3 (8P) 2.0 TDI Quattro 170, an RS4 Avant (B7) and I currently drive an A5 2.0 TDI Quattro 177.

I've been a bit dormant on the forums recently but I've started logging in again because I have an S3 Sportback on order which is on schedule for 1st September.

The spec of my new car is as follows:

Audi S3 Sportback (MY15)
S tronic
Sepang blue, pearl effect
18" 5-twin-spoke "Star" design anthracite, partly polished alloy wheels

Equipment packages
Extended mono.pur interior finish
Comfort package
Technology package high, with Audi connect

Exterior
Privacy glass
Folding mirrors
LED headlights
Aluminium roof rails

Interior
Auto dimming mirror (part of Comfort package)
Through load facility
Interior lighting package

Seats
Super sport seats
Electric lumbar support (parts of Super sport seats)

Safety & technology
Brake calipers painted in red with S3 logo
Hold assist
Reversing camera
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
Audi Parking System Plus with park assist
Advanced key

Audio & communication
Technology package high with Audi Connect
Bang & Olufsen sound system

Hi Grant, nice spec. Enjoy when you get. :) x

Yeah, I've gone for most of the options because I like my gadgets and I'm determined to keep this car for a couple of years!

Hi, similar spec on order from Aberdeen Audi too. Only went in for shot of S1 and came with a order for the S3. End of September delivery.

Who was your salesman? I have used most of them, this time Graeme Donald. Cut a decent deal which couldn't say no too.

Bought my A5 from Graeme and ordered my S3 through Graeme as well.

Cool, that'll be another Sepang S3 kicking around the granite city, I should get mine around the end of July (BW26) so give us a toot when you get yours if you see me around.

I've not gone option daft with mine, and have gone for the silver interior, but externally ours will look the same (aluminium roof rails and red callipers too).

Enjoy your car when it comes.

I am also thinking I must keep this one for a while, 25 years of driving and this is car number 24 :faint:

Wow you've had a lot of cars

Yep  I get bored very easily .. I did go through a number of Fiestas/Escorts/Astra's for the firstfew years after I passed my test, old bangers that cost me about £500, and either change them when they stopped running or I changed jobs and had a bit more disposable cash ..

I am also very good at man maths :readit: and manage to convince myself that changing my car is a good move and will save me money in the long run lol ..

It's sometimes been circumstances I felt a change was needed (walk to work, or move and have a longer commute, divorce) but I guess it's mostly been I fancy a change.

There's only a few cars I wish I had kept a bit longer, my RS60 Boxster Spyder (changed as I was needing more than 2 seats) and my Forester STi (moved and walked to work, so didn't see the point of having a car costing me about £450 a month on loan/tax/servicing that sat on a driveway 5 days week).

I hated my X5 (3.0SD) and in retrospect the 2nd JCW Mini was only bought as I loved my first one, and it got me out of the X5 without having to add anything into the deal, and cost me the same per month on finance.

I NEED to keep this one longer, even if I hate it!

Some car history there, I highly doubt you'll hate the S3 !

I hope not :sorry: - I didn't take to my 8P S3 mind you, even after a remap .. sure it was quick, but pretty dull .. I was going through a divorce at the time too, wanted a bit of fun motoring and wanted to cut my monthly outgoings so i bought a year old Mini JCW.

It was magic fun and always put a smile on my face ..

Well... new car day is tomorrow! Sleepness night ahead for me!

Hopefully it will look a bit better than when I saw it on Saturday!

Hope you enjoy your collection Grant. Hope the weather is reasonable. We be expecting lots of pics please. Enjoy. :) x

Wow! You and Dave (h5djr) change your cars often.

I passed my test 26 years ago and last year I bought car number.......4.

John.

I would be the same if I had not written off a new car after 6 months :( Usually buy a car I really like, then look after it for 6 or 7 years - while I save and plan for the next one.

You got the day off for the pick up Grant?
I'll have to nip round and see it in the flesh sometime, be good to see the Sepang.

Oh no, not another Sepang Blue?

Its an awful colour, the red (Misano) is beautiful! Not too late to make a change.......................................
