Boot failing to lock - part number confirmation needed

I've done a bit of research and it seems that this isn't an uncommon problem. I've tried some wd40 on it as per some of the suggestions I've read but that didn't make any difference (other than staining my boot lining! ) so I'm looking to actually replace the part.
I've spoken to my local Audi and they think the part may be 4F5827505D but I just wanted to run that past the gurus on here before commiting to actually ordering one?

I fitted the part on the weekend and the boot now stays shut so that's a bonus!
Only issue is that it now can only be unlocked with the key fob boot button. The central locking option on the mmi is set to unlock the boot when I unlock the car but this doesn't happen and instead I have to press the boot button on the key fob.
Any ideas how I fix this? I've tried changing the settings in the mmi to reset it but that didn't work.

Have you checked / cleared fault codes, sound like the central locking system still thinks there is a fault condition causing the system not to work, and resetting the MMI system will not change any of the faults on the central locking.

There are no lights or errors on the dash and the boot shows as closed (before it was constantly showing as open) but I presume I'd need a proper diagnostic to confirm if anything is actually there?

Yes either find someone local with VCDS or find a local VW/Audi specialist, the dash will not report any errors on the central locking system.

I had the same thing on an A4 cabriolet I had a couple of years ago, get the fault codes cleared off and you should be fine

Ok cheers, will try and find someone local that can clear it for me!
