Using MyAudi with Connect

Got my VIN number today and have been playing around with Connect. This is my experience which may be of use to others, and I also have questions.
Got the VIN from Audi Care and then added the new Vehicle, which is currently on a train in Germany.
Went to Picture Book Navigation to add locations and could not get to work. I browsed to select and image ok and then nothing happened. Realised I needed to click on the Select image button below it, which should better be called UPLOAD image.
All then ok and the locations are in place.
I tried and tried to get Destination input via Google maps to work, but I do not have a send to car option on my Google Maps desktop in any browser,
I could put locations in ok via the My Destinations option.
I downloaded the free version of Sent to Car on my iPhone and put in my My Audi name i.e. email address and it did not work and then it did.
I then downloaded the full version and am able to send map locations from Apple Maps to My Destinations.
I cannot activate Facebook and Twitter and what is going on in my City until I have the car.

Did you get it all sorted? I assume it was all because your car did not have a data connection at the time

So what does that effectively mean?

Think it may mean you cannot use the send to car from google maps directly, obviously the Audi app will be unaffected, unsure about the my Audi website as that uses google maps.

Actually that was last modified March 2012 so doubtful it has anything to do with Audi Connect???

Send to car is still there - you just need to go back to 'classic maps'.

Click the help icon, and there should be an option at the bottom regarding classic maps.

Then you should have the 'Send' option back when clicking 'more' on the details of the destination you are looking at.

I have noticed today that when in MyAudi, the Picture Book and My Destinations do not load on the web site, but are there on my MMI app on the iPhone. No idea why that is, they were there before, prior to the Google API notification appearing.
Also, when I synchronised the Picture Book first time in the car, all the photos were there and then they were not.
Need more of a play when I can get this "work thing" out of the way!!
This forum is great for sharing things.
One feels one is not alone!!

Hi,
PictureBook navigation and My Destinations still do not load on the web, but are there on my iPhone App and in the car..
They used to be there on MyAudi on the web.
Also, the Menu options on Audi Connect in the car are not correct as for me re Picture Book navigation at first sight but will keep having a play. i.e. to get the photos and locations in the car, I would have thought that Synchronisation would have been the option, but that says nothing is there.. One has to use the other option, which I cannot remember as I am not in the car.
