What have you done to your A4 b6 today?

I had to change this as she decided to give me no power!!! The feeling when you go to pull away and that ESP light says no!

Had the old girl Terracleaned this morning at Bowling Bank Garage in Wrexham. I can't begin to tell you the difference it has made. As soon as I started the car after it was noticeable smoother, quieter and as soon as I pulled off I could tell there was more oomph! I'll let you know how the fuel economy is after a few more miles but I suspect there will be an improvement. At £100 it is well worth it.
The guys at Bowling Bank are top guys and ran through ever step of the process and explained how it works. If you are in the Wrexham area then I would whole heartedly recommend them (and the boss has a lovely RS4).

Started to prep and paint my replacement painted sideskirts to loose the elephant grey bits

Not me but the misses managed to dented the rear quarter. So my job is to see if i can fix it without costing the earth. Is there any way to get at the inside of the rear quarter, right behind the tail light.

Any help would be great.

Rob

Yep but it means removing most if the boot trim to do so can be a but of a pain to remove

Put a new thermostat in, temp reading bang on 90 now, and i swear it runs loads better!!

I definitely need to fit my thermostat! Heard too many good story's not to!

Get it done, just watch the rubber seal when you put it back in, mine took 2 attempts unfortunalty as theseal had popped of very slightly, so as soon as it got warm enough it fired a small stream of ****** water out

I need a thermostat too,

New led bulbs in today, and may start to adjust front coil overs up and fit a new top mount.

So another thermostat did the trick hey? Good stuff!

yeh, the other one / original 1 i put in was not moving at all, when i got it out it was seized. but all is good now, nice 1 The Driver, this seems to be a common problem with the B6!

Removed the cracked elephant grey side skirt from O/S and refitted the freshly painted replacement, discovered that most of the retaining torx screws were rusted and the plastic grommets were past their best resulting in them spinning in the shell, new fittings ordered. Also bought some Seat Exeo front mudguards.

Are the exeo larger than A4's then??

Pass, read in a few places that they fit the B6, bought front and rears now so will get some pics up when I've fitted them.

Well today i had the cam belt, pulleys, water pump and a front wheel bearing replaced also took delivery of some Sony replacement speakers but got the wrong adapters sent out by the supplier so waiting for replacements.

New Sony speakers fitted, the wiring adapters supplied with the speaker adapters by Autoleads (SAK-1107) had the wrong plug connector on the end so i just cut off the plastic and used the male ends to push into the cars existing speaker plug.
The sound quality is far better. The old original speakers look in good condition, no rips or tears so if anyone needs a set of OE replacement speakers then i have some.

Today i ordered a complete S4 front brake set up off Adamss24. Going to clean up the callipers and give 'em a lick of paint and maybe fit some of those nice S4 anti-rattle clips. They should look amazing behind the 3SDM wheels.

7325 x600

Maybe i won't be buying these clips, they are £137 from the states :wtf:

how much for clips!!!!!

Thats what i said!

$89.95 per clip and $51 for shipping! There is an Audi part number for them (8E0615269). So i'll see if TPS can supply them and see how much they want.

been fitting a new HU and speakers over the last few days. fronts are wired up with new speaker cable and working with my alpine radio. rear drivers speaker is fitted and RCA's run down the side for a amp, just need to do the passenger rear and run power to the back. :D

Just a small thing but finally fixed why my drivers side rear light was sticking out last owner bodged a bolt that was 2 inch long with a nut on it and just pushed it into the nut on the light unit but thanks to super ron off hear breaking his a4 I fitted new proper bolt and hey presto it's fits nice and snugly now :)

If you go to a main dealer they are about £43 each I think (but can't remember if that inc or ex VAT), I managed to buy one on eBay for £20 but need a second one obviously......so will buy one when funds allow! I'll take a PIC of the OEM box mine came in so you have the correct part number.

Also the same rattle clips were used on the newer S3 and a couple of other models so it'd be worth seeing if there is any massive difference in price and spraying/sticking S4 decals on if they are significantly cheaper!?
