Hey I thought I'd see if anyone on here could give me some advice,I don't know a lot about cars to be honest :-/
Anyway I own a Audi A3 2010 1.4 S line,it seems to use a lot of fuel (petrol) I put £20 in the other day and it's lasted for 60 miles,it seems like I'm constantly putting petrol in it I was just wondering if there's anyone that's had any issues with this?
thanks

20 is roughly 15 litres? You been driving round town and or raping it?

So again very rough calculation.

15 litres is 3 gallons, 60 divided by 3 is very roughly 20 mpg. I'm not sure if that is particularly bad for that engine?

The a3 isn't a particularly light car and if the engine is too small you'll have to work it to make the car shift. Plus all the town driving doesn't help

If the car is serviced regularly etc maybe try some injector cleaner and take it on motorway run?

in my 3.2 im avg 22.4mpg mostly town but a few motorway trips and not granny style so I would think that's using to much petrol

On my second tripometer it's reading over 6,000 miles, and it's averaged 24mpg. That's flat out hooligan driving much of the time.

I'd recalculate by filling up to the 1st click, do a drive over say 20 miles, come
back and fill to the click again.

Then do the maths. Should give you a much more accurate reading on how it's performing.

It depends how much stop start town driving you are doing as well as the length of the journeys. Short journeys (less than 10 mins) will use more fuel than longer as the car warms up. My fuel consumption is higher than average but I live in a very hilly area.

I'd take it on the motorway and go for a long cruise to see what MPG you get and then you'll know if your using too much fuel.

I'd also fill the tank... If I put £20 in my S3 I wont get anywhere before the dreaded fuel light comes on!!
