Just a quick update guys and some advice needed as i am not impressed!!
Last night the lads popped over (usual wednesday xbox night) and 1 of them had the cheek to say my car had gone a little, well, lets just say in his words "ya sure ya dont live in bradford you?" to which i replied ( very confused) Eh, what you on about?", "would fit in well around there", and then started laughing.
Now i love everyone having there own touch to the car, bu this was just nasty, i am not racist, but knew exactly what he meant, so what are your honest opinions??

These motors are still good looking being over a decade old,all the right curves and done properly can still look brand new thanks to the great paint job they came with.

I whole-heartedly agree Deano. The B6 Avant shape is gorgeous - in my opinion the best. Still modern-looking, all the right lines and shapes. I love stepping out for a morning fag, studying the car, adoring its good looks, contemplating what needs doing or what I'd like to do on it. The damn thing is over 10 years old and still looks like it rolled out of the showroom yesterday!
ruffrida Forget what your bwoys saying - he probably doesn't even own a car. Maybe if you cashed in a few hundred quids worth of vouchers at Halfords and then sprayed the car and everything in sight Gold, then he might have a point, but your car looks sweet mate.
The mods you've done are nice and subtle, not garish or over the top in my opinion so I don't really know what he's on about. Like Deano said, he's just hating 'cos you got time and money to spend on your passion, and doing a decent job of it too. **** the haters bro, I like your car and I like what you've done to it.

I knew I could always rely on the ASN boys, nice 1 lads,i love her and took it to heart and proper let loose, don't usually speak to the lads like that but it had to be said,1 is currently in the market for a B6, and the other drives a 1998 Honda civic vti. As stated on the night in question they were both to kiss my ###k lol.
Totally agree with you both the B6 is a sight of beauty in my eyes, can't help but have a cheeky smile as i walk up to it every day. Thanks again

That says it all mate, one's after the same car and the other drives a Chinese toaster...alright, Japanese toaster, same sh*t. I love the wifey's B6, trust me, if it had a 3.0L diesel it would be my car and not hers!

Hahaha it's like you know me so well. Yep vac hoses next! Cheap mod,but just for looks.
No its really easy if you have everything you need from the start,i bought all my bits seperate as i dropped on a egr delete,so then you need the blanking plate and hose,job done!

and please sack your painter not meant to put any parts made of PolyProp in the oven over 60 deg C (think it's 60)
Also on your egr delete pic with the snot coloured boost hose!
why can I still see the egr pipe bolted to the exh manifold ?

yep all coded in now, thanks to Alex
Painter got a proper mouth full, he said he didnt but the clips have wrarped the wrong way.
And as for the EGR pipe been still bolted on, the numpty sent me the wrong blanking plate, and i didnt realise till the blank pipe had been fitted, he sent me 1 with thread holes so i had to put the pipe back on and put the blankin plate at the top!! Another is on its way so will soon look normal lol.

Wait till i have an FMIC, the whole engine bay will be that colour lol

Yep i had a proper wobbly lip moment.
Cried my eyes out when i noticed the A4 had no red door warning light, no puddle lights, no buld warning, no sunvisor lights when you slide the mirror covers etc etc.
All standard on my base model A3 SE 110 i started with.
Proper inconsolable i was ������
just getting used to having no power after my tuned A3
i could beat an unmodded 225hp S3 to about 90 before they caught and passed me.
all this in a dirty Diesel.
i dont miss the VE engine racket though
just miss power all the way to 5500rpm
A4 has Shark 170 map mut it goes ahsmatic above 3800ish
A little better with the twin exit but that added 25 kg to the car so no gain
also fitted towbar which is anothe 33 kg so spare wheel will have to go

It's all bout the B5 perches, they get rid of the RR perfectly.

Do what i did Rick, bout a set front suspension of a B5 from a breakers, £30, strip em down, job done!!

That's what I did too as they're about £30 each from TPS. I paid £20 for a pair of front shocks, and the perches were still like new. Even if they're a bit rusty you can just give them a quick lick of hammerite.

I would say I got about 15mm out of the B5 perches, which is there or there abouts for the difference front to rear.
