So I'm driving home last night, very light traffic on the motorway, so i decide to have a little fun and see what my baby can do, as i approach 100 MPH all is fine, no juddering, nothing, it feels great, so as i continue, im hitting 110 and beyond, all of a sudden i hear a long beep coming from my dash with an amber warning light saying something to the effect of "Warning MPH" i think i saw a number 2 with a line through it, it looked a lot like the warning you would get if a bulb was out, anyway i dropped my speed below 100 MPH and it stopped, but did my baby just tut me and tell me off for speeding or is something else going on here?

Theres going to be a fair few bible bashers about to have a good old moan about your speed. (me not one of them)

There's a time and place for a good turn of speed, of which any one with half a brain cell can work out whether its 'safe' or not.

So I trust your judgement.

However you can set speed warnings at certain speeds to give you a gently reminder that you are going warp speed. (through the DIS on mine) Maybe different on earlier versions.

Or even infact if you live in a 20mph zone and need a constant remind to slow down.

LMAO, warp speed, engage :)

I don't mind if peeps would like to tell me off for my warp speed enjoyment, i know its not a clever thing to do , especially around other road users, but the traffic was very light, meaning 1 or 2 cars in the slow lane every now and then, so no danger to anyone but me really, got to have some fun from time to time, as long as theres no real danger to anyone else then i cant see a problem, the roads were empty for about 10 straight miles and it was quite late, weather was good and clear, no police etc so yeah....ENGAGE ZOooooooommmmmm :D

I like that i can set and un-set warnings but how to do that i do not know?

I've only ever done it in my 3 facelift 8P's. All done by the wiper stalk and the DIS. Otherwise If your menu doesnt show it, its going to be a VCDS job I'd have thought.

You can also set the speed (your current speed) while driving by pulling the left hand stalk thing out on the instrument cluster.

So if im doing 60MPH and i pull the left stick, the car will warn me if i go over that speed?, is that correct?

There are 2 computers run by the buttons on the indicator stalk. Someone previously has set no. 2 to 110mph.

Just have a play with the switches, you can't really do any harm. Scroll through the menu and see what comes up!

Bottom set button to bring the menu up and scroll with the rocker on the end of the stalk and set your choice with the set button.
