I need to get my Ess ready tomorrow morning, need to stick my plain discs back on and give it a clean, or I'm turning up in the Passat TDi!

Just picked up my car after having a Terra Clean, It does seem quicker and the MPG seems to be higher :)

Looking forward to tomorrow...:blackrs4:

I'm gonna try my best to be there.. I'm out with family ATM and it's getting messy.. I need to talk to bill about turbo options! :)

No probs, if only the roads was clearer, I would have shown you a bit more of what my car could do!

Sorry i havent had a chance to reply to this thread! thanks again for coming down! bit gutted about the problems i had with me car! but so glad theres so much more to come out of it, its all about improving your car i guess, and mine needs a lot!

Cheers for the invite Cuz... :)

Good to meet the Cardiff boys...

Your cars colour is stunning!

Considering I had the most BHP of all the S3's that went on the rollers there, I think they they are too embarrassed to post anything up! :moa:

I think a few of the guys were JoeS3's friends not on this forum SK. I got there late and stupidly took no pics of the other cars.

Anyway if your intrested, i thought my car was std but its running a map with plenty of extra boost and torque but not much extra bhp. This prob explains my poor mpg around town, any thoughts on attached printouts. Car is std apart from a forge 007p and tip that came with the car, it had a forge red elbow pipe but was replaced by a garage with the oe part when i bought the car as it was leaking.

QuestionIf there is a difference of 14-16% on the torque figure of this dyno compared to others does that mean it under reads torque or other dynos over read as that would mean i have a rod worrying amount of torque if its under reading.

Also my best maf g/s reading on torque worked out to about 235hp so the divde by 0.8 thing is spot on.

Dastek, who made my dyno will say their torque measurement is accurate and other dyno manufacturers read their wrong, usually higher.
Relative to a couple of other vag tuner dyno's the bhp from mine correlates pretty close, but torque on mine consistently on same cars different dyno, seems to be a 16% lower reading..

I take into account myself my dyno's lower torque reading when mapping cars with std rods, and keep an eye on the 16%+ equivalence on torque numbers.. 300lbft of "other folks dyno torques" on mine 258lbft.

I believe my dyno myself, but where others have 300+lbft elsewhere it will usually be less than that here.

300lbft badger torques is 348lbft "other" torques...

and our ickle lupo has 320lbft badger torques from its incredible k04 hybrid setup...371lbft of "other" torque

Your boost and torque are far too high for your motor imho
unsafe levels which would make me nervous personally

was just interested as to what the others put out too. In particular joe's s3 which has similar hardware to mine?

Going by his post a little further up the page it unfortunately didn't perform as expected :(

bit gutted about the problems i had with me car! but so glad theres so much more to come out of it, its all about improving your car i guess, and mine needs a lot!

Hope you get the problems sorted Joe and they aren't too costly to get them rectified :icon_thumright:

Would be helpful and interesting to know what the issues were so other users can see and potentially avoid or rectify issues which they may have without being aware. I'm sure Joe will have it all in hand.

In sad I never made it! Would of liked to see what I've got still (I have leaks I think). And I wanted to see bills turbo collection, he always teases me.

B5 V1.1.1 TIP, decat and a prehistoric remap.

WOW, that is impressive compared to others I know and have seen on here especially without a FMIC and down-pipe etc. The car must have a nice healthy turbo and been looked after exceptionally well. FAIR PLAY! :applaus:

Jo's car is like new, hardly any miles on it!!

As Bill says, a rare beasty :)
