What do you hate???

sure my postie does not even bother getting the parcel out the van, and just posts the card!
predetermined and c.b.a

Mine doesn't even take them from the office.
Mind you, in fairness, there was that one time he left a yamaha amp worth £800 'hidden' under the doormat and a helpful card inside saying 'parcel under mat'!

yet they wonder why the royal mail went tits up, but still had the nerve to complain about it to us!
if they did there job properly first time round.... (not all but 98% of them) they would still have there cushty jobs and cats called jess!

At least he doesn't nick anything in a 'festive' envelope or post most of the rest to neighbours like ours. I'm not sure he can read let alone post.

It's no wonder RM is on the ropes; their not good.

Talking of business issues, add Stobarts to the list for holding up delivery of new Audi's as two months into contract they're still fecking up deliveries on Audi cars to dealers!

And when I finally managed to retrieve the parcel from the sorting office, it turns out the aluminium brake pedal from the RS6 automatic that I was told (on this forum) would fit my B7 A4.....doesn't.

Grrraaahhh!!!!

Will it fit a A8? :ninja:

Royal Mail has gone tits up. Royally.

They can't keep up with the likes of Hermes, Collect+ and such for price and value.

Royal Mail changes their policies on delivery parcels when the recipient is out. That's why it always goes back to the depot, they don't drop it off to next door or hiding places any more. which is another failing of Royal mail.
I've had parcels delivered from other delivery companies and they put parcels in the bin, bush, shed, garage, anywhere that's open, hidden and they can gain access. Which is fine, I don't have an issue with that.

Chatting to a delivery drive in work, it looks like a major delivery company is selling off all their vans and sacking their drivers and only hiring drivers with their own vans and working them harder and longer than before.
Not sure what that will say for parcel delivery in future if they all go that way.

One of my family looked into a parcel delivery job and the pre-requisite was he had his own van. All they provided was the uniform, so it's been borrowed from another model (might have been Interlink Express). Means they have no fleet overheads. With zero hour contracts and the employee expected to turn up with their own kit to do the job most national organisations will end up with no overheads beyond the shareholders and the board room. Welcome to the future! How are the rich supposed to get richer and the poor get poorer otherwise ;-) It's a f*****g travesty.

I'm with you. We have one of the most beautiful, rich and varied languages in the world. Why do people disrespect it so?

It's the waste of money in education.

11 years at school and they come out unable to write and talk properly.

Somehow along the progress curve it seems we've created a culture that responds only in the 'now' (and everything is short, abbreviated, minimum effort and built for ultimate convenience rather than quality). Younger age groups seem to see limited value in the art of written word, or taking the time to pen an emotive or well crafted rant (or posting!). In the 70's / 80's even if you listened to music you'd have a fair chance of expose to a diversity of language (e.g. rather than reading), but today 90% of the shart music just bangs on about putting your hands in the air, waving them like you just don't care and heading down the club to shout 'yeah yeah yeah'. If you played a 'The The' song to someone in their teens they'd think it was either a foreign language or a form of Shakespearian political ranting.

uh oh xD better not show you the plate I plan on getting xD though to be fair, mine actually will be a standard plate but just so happens the the combination of letters/numbers looks like my gamer tag :D :p so do I get let off for that? ;)

when you're driving down a street with cars parked on either side and so there is only room for one car to drive..... then someone appears at the junction at the end, must know full well that you are driving down the road with no where to pull in.... but they continue on til you meet and no one can go anywhere...... WHY ARE SOME PEOPLE SO SILLY?! they usually can't reverse for **** either so ends up I have to reverse for like 20-50 yards into a space to let them past..... and then have to gun it before some other ***** does the same before I get to the end of the road :p

Haha I don't mind initials on say a 4 or 5 digit plate or if it actually has the correct spelling ( which would cost 1000s) and not a number 3 trying to be an 'E' and all that kind of stuff I think looks tacky.

My number plate came with the car and it looks like the word **** :) I'm quite happy with it.

I saw a mini yesterday with T333 HSA (the girl also had the word TASHA on the boot, so the random 3's and the H and S in the wrong order weren't clear enough that she had to fit a chrome badge :)

Liverpool. :arco:

Well I live in London too (well, nearly) so naturally, I'm a Sunderland fan - and a very happy one at that.

In Gus we trust.

Collecting my VW van from the garage on Friday to be told that they couldn't find any problems with it going into limp mode. Then today 40 miles later it breaks down again.

Not very happy I have an 5am start on Monday.

I'd prefer Liverpool to win the title over Man City, but I need West Ham to lose so that Sunderland can finish in 12th place.

Yes, 12th place! Who could possibly have imagined that a month ago?!

I want Man Utd to make it into the europa league so it adds another competition they will fail in next season.

Yup, would love to see Liverpool win the league, its been too long.

Sick of City and Chelsea, theyve bought the league for the past few seasons.
