Dealer just submitted my S3 3 door order. Says sepang blue now on the system, but no more tyre pressure, or body coloured mirrors... I knew about the TPMS, but has anybody heard about the mirrors for MY15?

What do you mean "but no more tyre pressure"?
TPMS is now standard in all A3/S3 (from MY15).

So the ordering system is back up then? Woo! I wondered what would happen with my TPS which i specced, i hope it can just get removed

Its no longer available as an additional option, as expected.

I was not expecting to lose body coloured mirrors, though.

It makes some sense for them to not allow you to have Sepang Blue mirrors - it's another part to supply to the assembly line. I'd be surprised if they weren't allowing body coloured mirrors on the regular (non S3) colours though.

Ahhhh. Interesting. I guess I order plain caps and have the dealer spray them...

Surely its the mirrors that are one of the things that set S and RS models apart?

For me stealth is the key and am no fan of chrome mirrors and for me look a bit desperate, my current S3 order has body coloured and dealer has not emailed to say I can no longer have them. If I can no longer then I will get them sprayed.
Now if I could only put a twin tailpipe standard exhaust on the back job done..........might even buy a TDI badge

Wouldn't surprise me if they removed the silver mirrors - they were a theft magnet.

Theyve told me the opposite - that only silver is available.
Anyone with sepang mirrors?

And, steeve, I hope its the engine, handling and ride that sets the S apart... Bought it for me to drive, not to impress/distress others ;)

I agree with the second paragraph, after all it's the drive that makes one spend all that money. But I was thinking more of its visual appeal. Whilst I understand some may want a 'stealth' effect (I had a friend who put TDI badge on his RS4) others may want the car to stand out as something special. Taking badges off and having body coloured mirrors isn't likely to fool those scumbags who target special cars.
But every one to their own, I'm sure there are puzzled drivers out their that have been passed by a debadged S3 or Golf R and wondered "what the hell was that?"
I did have a Prodrive STI and that stood out far too much in the days when Imprezzas and Evos were a serious target.

Only just caught up with this thread, but ties in with my earlier post on the thread here where I heard from my dealer today that they had (at last) managed to change the spec of my BW27 car (now BW25 confirmed) in every respect asked for except colour coded door mirror caps. Although the configurator allows it and the brochures allow it, Audi apparently will not, and will not budge. My dealer is still pursuing this but have said that they will order spares and get them sprayed if it comes to it.
