I believe they are these....

LED H6W Xtrem - Base BAX9S - White - Anti OBC error

1 x required for each side.

Wonder if EM Tuning do anything similar? T8UPS? Can you see this?

Thoughts anyone?

Yer they look good, be nice to see what they are like standard for comparison. Always thought my reverse lights are not bright enough on my current 8P. Definitely look into this for my 8V.

I've already changed the puddle lights on mine with LED's from T8ups and they make a huge difference, I would defo be interested in these if T8UPS can do anything.

Even over the interior light pack?

Yes the standard puddle lights come with only 1 LED, the ones from T8ups have 4 you can actually see the puddles now, a huge difference!! I can highly recommend them!! And easy to change too

Give him a PM he'll sort you out, I even got mine the next day, top guy!

Are they easy enough to fit yourself ???

I have to say I assumed that the reversing lights were LED as standard...obviously not. I'd potentially be interested in this.

Are the reverse lights on S line/Xenon package not LED like the rest of the rear light cluster?

So if you have an S3 with LED headlights and interior light pack, there are still some bulbs that can be changed to LED? What are they, where do they go and where can you buy them?

Reverse lights
Fog lights
Glovebox lights

Upgrade the LEDs in the puddle lights

Don't have the car yet, but I'll be getting THESE for when it does arrive.

Cant fall off for a tenner.

How do these differ from the link I posted? Are they of similar quality or better? What are you going to be using them for?

Thanks

They're pretty much the same but available from within the UK.

Both are H6W fitment so if one fits they both will. I'll be trying them as reverse lights (when the car eventually appears!)

I tried several LED lights for reverse and they are all bad. including the CREE LED that are the best you can buy.

They sure make you look nice but you can't see anything at all when reversing.

I went back to the hateful halogens but at least I can reverse without having to do it with the brake lights to see something

So the led upgrades that are brighter than halogens make it harder to see when reversing? How?

I dont know, but if you don't believe me, you can try by yourself.

the only LED that count is the one that is at the top, there could be a 100 LEDs on the bulb, if there is only 1 that is at the top it will light like if there was only one

Sort of understand what your saying but my original post with pics of the french S3 clearly shows plenty of visible light, surely enough to reverse in a dark area for a small distance unless you planned on driving the car in reverse all the time like our sadly departed Paul walker.

I'll let the light maestro trups conclude any findings but thanks for your thoughts. ;-)

funnily enouth, if you read the french topic, you can see I asked the question to the OP. (second page, post 56 and 57)

And yes, the LED are really bright, but that's all :

here were mine :

So your saying that the illumination offered by the led is less than that of the oem halogens making it harder to see when reversing?

That the upgrade is clearly cosmetic and in no way practical?

Pat or any other viewers, wonder if the upgrade would jeopardise an mot pass?

yes and yes, MOT I don't know

But hey, I you find LED that are better than the halogens, I'll definitely be interested. :anbet:

Surely people aren't expecting to see by the light emitted by reversing lights!?
It's just a change for cosmetic purposes and extended expected light life for me.

Reversing lights are not a requirement for an MOT, however the police can fine you if you don't have them.

t8ups, I'm interested too if something can be sorted soonish.

Think I'll leave this one until someone can source something that looks and works better than OEM. For the amount of time the lights are on I don't see this as being worthwhile atm :(

I have the A3 sport which doesn't have LED/xenon lights so I have the basic lights. Will these work in the normal car? Thanks

These will just be for the look guys, as people have stated, no brighter than stock, this is due to the small space, these days the reverse lights are there so people see you are reversing as oppose to it lighting up the road, I never thought a reverse light was for lighting up the road as any car I have seen has the smallest poxy reverse light.
