MY15 Changes - confirmed from Audi, hot off the press !

I spec Phantom Black too wk21 built so last of MY14 builds. Too late to make changes unless delay to around wk30. What I want to know is if there is much difference between phantom and Mythos black? Has anyone seen Mythos black in person? Is it a nice shade of black? Is it darker than phantom and like phanther without the extra colour tints? I like phantom but part of me hates the thought of ordering a new car and know the colour is totally discontinued from the whole Audi range. Please... Don't comment on black is black, there are 3 shades of black, phantom lightest, panther a bit darker, brilliant - darkest and true black. I'm sure many have agonised over such first world dilemmas.

Sorry, you can't have your £5 just yet, am in Sydney Australia.
We don't get Mythos black just yet, none in country so can't exactly check out the colour. I was advised by the dealer that MY15 won't arrive in here till end of the year as it takes 3 mths from factory to our shores and to the showroom.

Thing is I actually wanted to get Glacier White with black pack but wife prefers black hence all this agony, plan to keep the car a while. I'm super pedantic.

Side note: read up on PA's posts as I was doing research before taking the plunge, dude is a classic.

Agree re the paint, but not sure about the price, particularly as they are likely to put the price up (they have added extra spec) - if you sign a contract to buy a car for £25k and they can tell you after you have signed that it now costs £26k would you have to pay it? Surely the contract is legally binding? Although to be fair Sky, BT, mobile networks do this a lot!! (tho not before you have actually got the product) So I wouldn't put it past them!!

Think if you agreed to it that's it, guess as soon as you want to change anything thought different story. Not even sure if prices are going up anyways.

You could also try and find an A1 in Mythos Black at a dealer, etc - as it's been a standard A1 colour. I too have ordered a Phantom Black S3, but I'm wk22 - I'll be sticking with black and therefore the change to Mythos.

Dealers were calling people up to have them change their estoril orders to a different colour, so I don't think that is the case.
 
This announcement gives me a dilemma which is making my head hurt lol

I almost specced Sepang Blue via exclusive as it was a toss up between sepang and nogaro blue.

In the end I chose nogaro at over a £2k premium in cost of the exclusive.

So - now change the order and save £2k or keep the car "exclusive" and stick with nogaro.

Build week makes no difference as the nogaro option was a build week 28 anyway for a mid august delivery (but chose to wait until September)

Heads battered - already changed from the original order of monsoon to Nogaro - do I change again to Sepang now - haha

I ordered exclusive paint because I love the colour and makes it stand out. Just go with the colour you love the most.

From the sheet it looked like the 1.8TFSI FWD is being discontinued and 1.8TFSI will be Quattro only (and associated higher cost to match) with raised boot floor. 1.8 FWD probably squeezed in part as the 1.4 COD is also being upped to 150PS (but probably without increase in torque).

I am not sure other engines will be affected, I think they have just listed the ones which are changed, others will remain as is (184, 180 etc)

If that's the case then fair enough. I just saw it wasn't listed so wondered if it had been designated EOL.
 
Still no option of 19s on S3 3/5dr!

Quite fancy the 19" V-spoke. Anyone know how much these would be from a main dealer? 18" V-spoke even available on A1 now.

Yes the information just released suggests you can swap to Sepang blue at the same cost as Monsoon grey, we can change this for you as we are still awaiting allocation for this model, would you like us to do this?

My saloon is currently scheduled for bw24. I asked to amend my spec to include black optics today. The response was "sure, no worries - your new build week is estimated to be 48"

I decided against the spec change!!

Yes, no change to original date. Its a company car (albeit purchased with cash) so I've had to liaise with my fleet manager who then talks to Audi.
 
So I've just had a phone call from the business manager at my dealership and after the nicey nicey hello hello he dropped the line "I don't think it's a problem to change you to sepang blue" best thing I've heard for a good while. :hubbahubba:

What was your build week? I'm just wondering how close you were as I'm trying to change the colour of mine. I'm currently on a week 23 build date.

I don't think I have one yet. I ordered it and just said I'll pick it up the 1st September on a 64 plate. They seemed happy I was happy. Hands were shook. I've made a few changes since then though.
