N75 valve problem

I have an S3 APY engine code and I seem to be having some N75 valve related issues.
The problem im having is that current my car seems very sluggish between 2-3k rpm and the power seems to fluctuate very slightly then at 3200 rpm I get boost all of a sudden. If I unplug the N75 valve I get a nice constant boost delivery from 2.3k ish.
I swapped my N75 valve for one that I had laying around which was good when it was removed around 8 months ago. The car boosted much faster and harder and there was a noticeably more boost than before but at 3k the boost started to splutter badly then clear after.
The N75 valve originally on the car is a 06a906283e and the one I replaced it with was a 058906283f.
After doing some searching the F type seems to be the one I should have but I cant seem to find anything about the E type (or at least not with the same part no.)as to whether its the correct one for the car.

I am running an E revision n75 on my s3 APY and it gives me no problems at all and was running the very same one on my AGU golf
I think the differences are very slight it is basically an on off switch after all
As to loosing power in the rev range I would first off scan the old girl for fault codes
 
Are you sure? Everything I have read seems to suggest I should have an F type.
I think what im experiencing is compressor surge with the F type N75
 
I thought it was in my head....

But I broke the 06e one and replaced it with the revision. And now it doesn't feel as quick...
 
A little bit of research suggests the standard is a C revision and the F revision being a direct update from that so basically we should have c or f a little more digging results with the J revision being suggested as an upgrade
Now my head is spinning lol
 
06a906283e is apparently the latest revision of the C/F type.
I checked for fault codes aswell and the only fault I have is the incorrect flow fault from having no sas
 
Scanned for fault codes yet? don't assume the N75 is at fault especially if its giving you boost after its alleged 'hiccup'...

The N75 is most likely doing as its told... you need to log the car to confirm...

Its plausible that an over boost problem has happened and the ECU has cut N75 duty and dumped boost to protect the engine then brought it back in again hoping the issue has cleared..

Unplugging the N75 electrically doesn't prove its faulty...

Is your car mapped? do you have a boost gauge? what boost are your seeing if so?

No fault codes except incorrect flow fault from sas delete.
The car is supposed to have a stage 1 map but there is no proof of this.
The car has had new coil packs(Bosch), New Bosch MAF, New green water temp sensor(genuine), full service with new plugs (BKR7E) and a new Bosch lambda sensor. All within the last month for various reasons. Also has had all the usual stage 2 stuff FMIC, 80mm TIP, 3" system with milltek rear box.
But the problem has been there since I owned the car (before the mods).
I have also pressure tested everything from the throttle bodie back to the TIP and there are no leaks anywhere.
Now im ready for stage 2 map I thought I should try and cure it but maybe it just needs mapping?
 
I dont have a boost gauge fitted and im unable to log as my laptop isnt working. I have the tourque app on my phone which displays boost etc. But I dont think I can log with it or how accurate it is.
 
I should be able to do some logging by the middle of the week. What do I nedd to log?
I have just spoken to the previous owner and apparently it was remapped by superchips.
Went for a drive earlier and when you accelerate part throttle from 2k upto 3k you can feel the boost fluctuating

Checked my fault codes again today and I got P0571 brake switch unplausable signal. My snap on solus pro also thinks that the brake pedal is depressed when it isnt. I doubt this has anything to do with my boost issues but I have ordered a new switch anyway.
Laptop is now fixed so hopefully get time to do some logging tomorrow
 
I think I have done it correctly but not 100%. I might get a chance to do some more later.
 
Logging wants to be done in 3rd gear, 2000rpm right through to 7000rpm in one continuous boost......needs to be a very long, straight and clear road ideally (private of course ;) )

Thats probably because I didn't stop logging as soon as I had done the run. I will try and do some more later but the people that know what there looking at with regards to the logging are allways really busy
 
I tried that and it said it was the wrong type of file.
I didn't mean to sound rude saying people like yourself are allways too busy ;-)

Yeah thats a gear change. Thats only there so you can see the headings for the columns
