Hi I picked my S3 up 3 weeks ago. This is what it looked like when I collected it

Was looking a little sorry for itself with a a carbon vinyl roof and nasty 5 spoke wheels oh and ABT badges on the back :ermm:
But its low mileage with very good history, stage 1 map and couple of small mods, Forge 007 and a couple of hoses. N249 had been removed and the pipework from the sai had been removed.

First thing I did was remove the nasty vinyl and badges. Ordered some new wheels and some FK coilovers

And after

Since then its had New discs and pads all round, timing belt, tensioner and water pump, MAF meter and some tie rods and ends. Then I started with the engine mods. Stupidly I ordered a creation motorsport 80 TIP without doing any research first and not knowing Badger5 even existed. So I have been putting of fitting it and contemplated sending it back. While i decided what i was going to do I fitted my Forge sai blanking plug and removed the rest of the sai properly and fitted an s2000 open filter.

After looking around at people opinions and the creation TIP I thought I would open it up and have a look at it. It looked like they had revised the design and changed a few things. The turbo adapter had been made much longer and the hose itself had made a lot thicker and was very sturdy. So I decided to Have a go at fitting it Thinking that maybe they had fixed the issues others had been having. First thing was the turbo adapter fitted straight on with a small amount of sealant so they had obviously fixed that issue. But things went down hill fast from there :(. None of the take-offs from the TIP lined up with anything. Rather than giving up I decided to try and make it fit so after flipping some pipes and re-routing some I had everything except the breather pip fitted. There was no chance the breather was going to fit without extending the pipe. Luckily we had an A4 2.5 Tdi sat round the back of work which we are breaking so had a look at what I could use from that. This is what I ended up with:yes:(sorry about the crappy pics)

Seems to have made a big difference to the car but was a lot more hasstle to fit than I was expecting.

Next I plan on getting a FMIC and a downpipe and de-cat ready for stage 2:eyebrows:

looking so much better already mate! look forward to the progress

Looking good so far I'm almost at the point of buying some shiny bits spent the last few months fixing silly little things!

Great improvements from when you got it, the wheels look very smart. Also liking the private plate! nice touch! keep up the good work!
What FMIC are you going for?

Thanks for thr comments guys:thumbsup:
Im going to get a cooler from ebay and make my own pipework up.
Just ordered a 3" downpipe and de-cat

Car is looking nice mate, where are you heading for your stage 2 remap? Im sure you already know but Bill does a great custom stage 2 setup @ badger 5. Great job on the inlet aswell!

Looks good, I like what you've done with the bumper, only cutting part of the fog grill instead of ditching kt

Yeah I was hoping to not have to cut them at all which is why I went with the blue hoses

Did you buy it from the location in the first pic? as I live their but don't recall ever seeing it about, but do think I saw it on the M5 a little while back. :)

It came from Torquay area and then Exeter before that I think. Where is the first pic taken?
