I've been reading on audi passion (French forum) that they have an option over there
to spec "shadow pack" on the A3 saloon. essentially it's black window surrounds and grill.

This doesn't seem to be available here, but can anyone find out part numbers for me?
i guess the grill can be retro fitted but what about window surrounds?

I am in France from Monday if I get a chance I'll ask local dealer.

Agreed! My glacier white saloon is due next month and for me it's one of those colours that doesn't mix well with chrome.

So I may have to ask a sign writer to vinyl wrap the chrome in gloss black.

There's a few on Audizine (us forum) with black pack. Again I'm not sure if these are dealer fit or home made efforts.

It's strange they don't offer every pack across the range. I have the black edition on my a5 now but when I asked about it for the s3 was told it's not available. Felt like crying but we worked round it. But I will getting my exhaust tips painted matt or gloss black too. Stand out far too much for my taste

No need to! Just don't wash them they will go pretty black over a couple of days :)

I suspect this may be relevant to your interests, Don. :)

I have read loads of members that this has happened to. Let this happen on my current audi but it's more of a dirty look. Painted is the next step for me

I painted my exhaust outlet on my GLI with black high-temp paint. It holds well for a couple years and has to be refreshed. I'm probably going to cut the quads off my S3 and have them powdercoated; then I can either have them welded back on or clamp them on.

You sir, are a ****** genius.
Thanks a lot darkcooleo.

I've written to my fleet mgr and asked to amend my spec.
Currently got build week 24, so hoping I can still amend.
