Hi all I'm wanting to order new discs and pads all round!
but keep getting asked what size, is there an easier way than removing them to measure!
and is there more than one type of pad?

cheers

Do a search, there are plenty of threads on brake sizes.

The info you need is on the build sticker, either in the boot or in the front of the service book. It will have a string of 3 digit codes, like 1EK and 1KZ etc. Once you have these you need to find one of the threads which will help you see which size brakes you have.

Right got my discs now having same problem with pads, places saying there's 2 types, can this sticker tell me this too?

As mentioned above... Your brake codes will be on the sticker in your service book or on your chassis.

Have you deciphered all of your codes using the link provided yet?

The codes told me nothing about pads only that it has disc brakes (no sizes)

You use that code to find the pads. It corresponds to a size.

Go to eurocarparts website, search for pads for your car, click on one of the results and you'll see similar type codes quoted in the description. You just need to keep looking until you find one that carries your code.

What were the codes for your discs??

Here's my post from ages ago when I was looking for pads for my car. See if it helps...

Update:

Had a look at my service book and my brake codes are 1LJ (front) and 1KZ (rear).

Had to do a bit of digging on brake manufacturers websites (here PAGID & here ATE) but found that these codes correspond to "WVA numbers" 23587 (front) and 23914 (rear), which tie back to pagid and ATE pads on eurocarparts.

Decided to go for the ATE pads, the full set (front and rear) work out to £69 delivered using a 20% discount code.

great post, bookmarked for sure!!!
