I must admit the first time I saw them actually in the metal was on a silver A3 a few weeks ago at my dealers and when I saw them I liked them.

It can take upto two weeks but it's usually less. Mine has been a week and is not at the dealers yet.
Unfortunately yours is not the only car waiting at Tyne to got out to a dealers. Mine took 12 days to be delivered from Grimsby to my dealer in Huntingdon (114 miles by road) but only 8 days to get from Ingolstadt to Emden (476 miles by train)

50 miles down - what fun. Love the ACC on the motorway and with cruise control on at 75mph was showing 70 mpg.....
One thing I was not aware of with my new car was the sports seats colouring. I ordered Black/silver (KY) but I was not really aware that the panels in the seat would be a silver colour similar to the picture on page 43 of the current Pricing and Specification brochure but where there is orange on those seats there is silver on mine. I really like it and it does stop the interior being all black.
I will try and take some over the week-end.
I went out for a drive through the lanes this evening and whilst the power of the 184 feels very similar to my 170 at the moment, the quattro is amazing even with standard and not sport suspension and the car is so much more comfortable than the S-Line demonstrators I had out on test drives.
Definitely the best possible set-up for me.
The other thing that makes the ride pleasant is the tyres. On my previous 170 I had Hankook Ventus S1 Evo tyres and these very quiet and gave excellent grip. The other tyres I've heard good reports about, especially noise wise, were Dunlop Sport MAXX RT and those are the tyres fitted to my new car so I'm well pleased.

Either Tuesday or Thursday. Would like it sooner but apparently the Workshop and handover room is pretty busy this coming week. Plus the guy dealing with it is off Wednesday.
Mine is at the dealers compound! Due to collect it next week. Can't wait.
Do you how long it took from getting to your dealers from the port?

Under 5 days. It arrived at the port Monday I believe and arrived at my dealers yesterday. Although not sure if it went to another one of the dealers compounds first....

Is it me or does the 8V look much sleeker and dare I say it bit more compact against the 8P? I'm sure the 8V is bigger but in the flesh / pictures it never looks that way to me. Must be a trick of design !
I didn't even know that sort of style was an option. Never seen an A3 with an interior like that
The doesn't seem to be any illustration of it in any of the brochures but it's the standard 'Rallye' cloth that is used on the Sport model. The only illustration of this is on p41 on the Pricing and Specification Guide but it's shown is just the Black (FZ) colour. It is also available in Black/silver (KY) which is the one I have, Black/blue (LQ) and Black/yellow (RR).
Personally I much prefer my Black/silver option to the all Black option.

After being told from my dealer that my car could would be on last Fridays ship. My dealer just phoned this morning to tell me it's still sitting in Germany for some reason. Even he doesn't know what going on....
Had a quick look in the brochure. In reality it looks a lot different to what's displayed on page 41. The fact you're happy with it is all that matters though!
When I went for the lighter interior I had the salesman showing me a just delivered car because that was the only one he could find with it at the dealership. I can't go on pictures alone for the above reason

My dealer said that my car has actually already been given a transport order and sent me a screenshot of my order on their system which was pretty cool.
