What have you done to your A4 b6 today?

Was this an easy job to do BakPak? As i know me 8L 1 was a proper pain in the **** get back in, giz a clue where it is located aswel, cheers

Local garage cost £10, only took 10 minutes. WP 20140410 003

See what ya mean in the dark, a very different light, and very nice indeed.

Always liked a dark tint to a light, i would never get away with it though with me car been black, may do Alexgsi's trick though and just blackout the reverse light i think it is, the clear bit on standard rears ahahahah

Cheers mate, yeah possibly a black tint on a black motor would look a little bit too gangster but smoking out the clear lens I reckon would look pretty decent. I've got a picture in my mind of the half smoked Mk2 Golf Gti 16v rear lights. The looked nice and subtle in the grey and red format. Have you got link/pics anywhere for this mod?

Nice 1 BakPak top lad. Had a mad moment early and nearly did it as soon as I got home, then me lil brain engaged and remembered the is hot water in there lol. So I washed her instead lol

You might as well spend a little bit more time on it and totally flush the coolant system while your changing the stat, it's only about £14 a bottle of which you will need two. Maybe I should have stated that's what I did when it took an hour.

Good shout there gym, even though I'm sure it has not long had one, but that's just goin of the past seller,is it pretty straight forward job on these?

Yeah mate there is a drain tap next to the intercooler to empty the system. You have to loosen off the front part of the undertray in that corner to get to it, but that's no biggie.

I prefer the top ones mate, they look so much bigger than the new ones!Maybe the spokes that go right to the edge of the wheel make themlook bigger.
not keen on the new ones mate sorry..........Still the best A4 avant though by far.

I actually prefer the second ones to the first. Although they look smaller due to the black lip, they just generally look better.

NO NO NO, leave em as they are, in Keith Lemmons words "they are bang tidy" lol

@ Deano - personally I think some different wheels would do the car more justice, but if it's down to those two the second set is better, but you'd have to either paint the wheel lip, or (ideally) polish it up to match the spokes. I think that would look nice.

Had me car stage 1 mapped at CGS remapped in Telford £150 car us a dream to drive now

Thanks for advice chaps,Well im still in a pickle about which wheels :-#
On another note, ive been at swift tuning (surrey) since ****** 8am. Had my bv43 turbo installed, just waiting for the remap :)

Obviously everyones taste in wheels will be different, just my opinion i like the new ones but not as much as the original set, really suit the car.Whichever you choose will still look superb!!

Quick question on the headset mod, do the rear headsets have the dip at the front? (Sorry know descriptions rubbish) the the fronts just a normal rounded shape?

Just wanted the check if mine haven't been done already :)

Just fitted 4 Bridgestone tyres which was a little painful on the wallet but the grip makes up for it.....
Next week new suspension all round. Tempted to go for the bilstein shocks and eibach spring sportline kit from DPM for £655.

Ooo I was looking at those aswell, get rid of these ****** coilovers!! Lol

I can't wait! I think the difference will be mind blowing. At 175,000 I'm still running on the original se suspension, well I assume it's original as it makes me feel ill sometimes with all the pitching and rolling.

Think you will find this is temp sensor on mine

And typical the 1 I have ordered is wrong!

replaced crank sensor today no more stalling, b*t#h of a job though

Just bought pro-kit springs, new brake lines all round and rear drop links. MOT end of the month :scared2:

Finally got around to fitting my new bulb set from Trups,no more yellow lights, very happy.

Just done an oil change and re-set service indicator:icon_thumright:
Glad its done.

Fitted coolant temp sensor (a little b*stard if you ask me) only to find the gauge still reads the temp at round 70. £40 down the pan lol

Have you replaced the thermostat? Mine was running at 70 degrees but with the new stat it's back to 90 degrees.
