I'm looking for the best speaker system I can get with a budget of around £1000 , I want high quality sound with amazing bass, please can someone suggest speakers and maybe a link, thanks! I got a 1.6 TDI S-Line 2011 lol.. only 18 thats why and MPG.
I would recommend going second hand, try eBay! Makes to considder would be hertz as mentioned, focal, DLS, genesis, jlaudio there's loads to mention but would stay away from your halfords makes like vibe edge, fli, rip speed etc.
I would also recommend budgeting for sound deadening the front doors.
Also a big factor would be what music do you listen to.
/\ that's a good amp, had one in my first two cars before I added more comps so switched to the Genesis 5-channel. If you could source some Genesis audiophile A13 comps or A16 comps (not sure if the A3 speakers are 13 or 16cm) then you would have a nice setup.
Heard this in person at Ace Cafe.
Loud is a understatement. Sounds so loud and clear but has alot more then just door speakers lol
personally i'm not a fan of SPL setups, i would prefer being able to hear when i'm 50 lol but i can certainly understand the appeal of wanting to drop lower or be louder than someone else.
mines more SQ.
glossy black rns-e
audison bit one
audison voce 5.1k
hertz mille 2-way on their passive crossovers with birch ply customer collars that have been varnished
audison av10 subwoofer in a sealed sideload box which replaces the factory bose sub/factory passenger boot carpet thingy.
most of the car has been taken to bits and sound proofed and sound suppressor on top to reduce road noise as well.
once i've saved some more pennies i want to move to hertz mille 3-way with a-pillar builds.
sweeeet, any pics of your setup?
Do you have passengers in the back regularly? Even if you do do you care if they can hear the music as well as you can? If the answer is no then there is no point in rear speakers. Take a look at talkaudio forums (I am over there too) for advice on setups. General rule is sound from the front.
Only just watched that video /\ and that sounds awesome for that distance and in person it would sound much better than on a recording!
