And some of you have had your cars built AFTER mine and already delivered...

**** my life.

Have you spoken to Audi Customer Services to ask them the reason for the delay.

What is the explanation regarding the delay as that is a joke - I had to wait 9 months for my last A3 and only 7 weeks for current so to be sitting in the dock for a month is unacceptable.

Have they given you a courtesy car to use?

I've done more than that, I've got a system, I call my dealer every Monday and Audi Customer Services every Friday!

(I also called Customer Services yesterday and actually asked them for an explanation) - They said that the car was meant to be delivered to the dealer on the 24th of March............ But they have "just had a backlog and to call back on Friday when things should be different"

They also said that Audi have summoned "more ships" to deal with the build up. But this probably just bull**** to shut me up.

I've read on other threads people who have had their cars build in week 12 and even 13 and they already have their cars.

Mine was built at the end of week 10 and it's still in Emden! :wtf::banghead::sign_unfair:

Yeah kind of annoying... Going crazy over here!:keule:

And I still have my A1 which has come to the end of it's lease so no reason to give me a car I'm guessing!

Well good luck and hope they sort it out very soon - as advised I would contact CS

Mine's still at Emden too - been there since 20th March... it appears that if your car's bound for Sheerness they don't have enough capacity. Apparently there are two ships going at the end of this week, fingers crossed ours will be on board.

Seems the logistics Audi have in place (shipping certain dealers to certain ports) is not exactly working in a fair manner - perhaps they should have some flexibility to get first in, first out going here.

Wife's new A1 built week 10, arrived at dealership 31st March.
Shipped to Port of Tyne.

Looking at the records I been keeping of the shipping African Highway arrived at Sheerness 01:30 this morning. There have only been two previous shipments recently, one on 31st March and one on 7th April. Grimsby seems to had 6 shipments and Tyne 2 shipments.

It is possible than the car has suffered slight damage in transit between Ingolstadt and Emdem. It does happen and the car would then be rectified at Emden or returned to Ingolstadt depending on the damage. I must say it is quite unusual for a car to be in Emden as long as it has, but it could be purely down to not having enough ships available. VAG Logistics use around 20 different ships but they do go to other ports as well as the three in the UK.

Wish I'd used a dealer that shipped via Grimsby

Mine sat at Emden for about 2 weeks, really f****d me off.

Mine is sat at emden. I hope get some free stüff.

ar arrived in Sheerness on the weekend/Monday! (Vessel name: Emden for those who are interested)

Customer services said it can 2 ****ing weeks to get to me though... Anybody got a car that has come from Sheerness and can give me a real life estimate?

My dealer said that my car has actually already been given a transport order and sent me a screenshot of my order on their system which was pretty cool.

Car spec:

S3 3-door
Amalfi White
Black Styling Pack
Comfort Pack + Adaptive Cruise Control
Audi Sound System

Private plate's going on there on day one too - S3 JUR (My name is Jordan, so I was pretty lucky to find that I think!)

Mine came in via Sheerness and collected 10 days after arrival - but that was my choice as collected at the weekend and could have collected at least 4 days earlier.

Sounds promising then! So MAYBE just maybe I could collect this Friday or Saturday... I planned on going away this Easter to the coast somewhere (PREFERABLY if I had my new car by then...) I don't think I could cope with driving for miles and miles in my A1 thinking I could be in the S3 for this.... :notme:

Mine came from Sheerness, the dealer has to arrange collection I believe. Mine was collected and delivered to the dealer within a week.

The delivery from Sheerness is normally done by a specialist delivery company by car transporter to the dealer. I understand the dealers are not allowed to collect any cars from the port. Also they have to wait 7 days after the car has landed at the port before they are allowed to chase any delivery. Delivery is normally within 2 weeks of arrival at the port. My car actually took 12 days to be delivered from Grimsby to my dealer but a lot more cars come in through Grimsby than Sheerness.

I was told that my one was waiting at Sheerness for another shipload with cars due for South London Audi group (Bexley, Dulwich, Beckenham, Coulsdon and Wimbledon) so will probably be on the same lorry as yours! Audi CS said by the middle of this week so should be soon.

The Viking Odessa docked at Sheerness this morning around 10:00.

Having the same issues. Build week 12 so it's been sitting at Emden for over 3 weeks! Spoke to audi CS and they have now idea why it has not been shipped yet!... Said that they are going to investigate and get back to me tomorrow...

My order (A7) was scheduled for build week 15. I spoke to Audi CS on Monday 14 April to check that it was on track to be told it was already at Sheerness!
