The Viking Constanz is due to dock at Sheerness at 12:15 (1st) today having left Emden at 20:13 yesterday (31st) so perhaps your car will be on her.
 
The city of Paris should be arriving from Emden at 11:59 tomorrow at Port of Tyne. Hopefully my baby is on that ship!!

I was told by Audi CS that there were ships leaving Wednesday (tomorrow) or next Thursday (i.e. over a week!!). But who knows - not like me knowing is going to help me get the car any quicker...

I was told that too when I called them yesterday. Really hope it's on tomorrow's ship. Don't think I could wait until next Thursday :(

Just called Audi CS, my car arrived at the port on the 25th and it should be in the UK next week :)

Where is your dealer so that we can see when ships are leaving for the UK port. As I said before Grimsby get a ship load every day but Tyne and Sheerness use bigger ships but they are less frequent.

Managed to choose a "nice" one.

Week 12 build week for me guys, but went into dealer on 15-3-2014 (Which is week 11) and it was already "Awaiting Transit" at Emden!

So I don't actually know how long it was there before I asked...

I called Audi Customer Services Monday and it's STILL at Emden???

I've read this entire thread and I'm SURE I've read about other peoples cars that were build after mine have arrived already... Any insight? ):
 
It can spend up to around 15 days at Emden awating loading onto a boat.
 
That's the thing I found out that it was at Emden on 15-3-2014 (So it could have been there for longer) and that was 18 days ago today ):
 
My car was at Emden on the 15th and I took delivery of mine on Saturday 29th.
 
Arrived on the 15? or was still at Emden on the 15th? Yours may have been there before mine.
 
Was there on the 15th arrived on the 11th
 
Strange! I'm guessing mine got there before as well, why would yours be delivered so much earlier than mine! So confusing haha.

It can depend on the location of your dealer. Assuming a local dealer, for London I would assume your car will come to the UK via Sheerness. Sheerness gets less, but larger ships, than Grimsby. But as Grimsby gets a ship with 800 cars every day that's 5,600 cars a week. Sheerness gets about one or two ships at week at 1,500 cars per ship so 1,500 - 3,000 cars a week. Could explain why yours could be taking a little longer. It's possible there is another reason but we won't go in to that at this stage.

In my particular case I have been very lucky because my car was at Grimsby 8 days after it was built. Built on 18 March and in Grimsby on 26 March. All I'm waiting for now is for it to get from Grimsby to my dealer.

Highly unfair! My car is still at Emden waiting for a ferry - now told there's one tomorrow and one the following week but it's on schedule to get to the dealer for the 14th April.

So the question is, if it gets to the dealer then - how soon after that can I collect it?

Well a ship a from Emden arrived at port of Tyne this afternoon at 3:02. Hopefully mines was in that. If not I was told the next ship arriving from Emden will be next Thursday :(

A dealer should be able to do the registration and PDI within a few days.
 
BW10 brought forward to BW9 - collected 26.5 hours ago. Am delighted and will post some pics at the weekend. Will provide initial personal mini- review in another thread too.

Sorry for the delay in posting Pic's, busy day with grand daughter, only had time to collect car with short drive home. Will try to post some today, very impressed with car so far, but still not with the dealer... only draw back so far, not enough storage space for all the bits I did have stored in the Golf.

Good to hear you're pleased so far - only just over 3 hours to go until I do to the dealers to pick up mine. I have felt the pain of all the others above with not knowing where their cars are or when they are due at the dealers - keep the faith and you will be rewarded in due time. :arco:
