Boot Lighting

Just a quick question regarding boot lighting, I don't have the lighting pack either:

Is there just the one light on the right hand side? I've noticed that there is a bulb holder on the left as well but no light comes from it?

I have s line with lighting pack and one light bought led light holder and also brighter led bulb from t8ups

Mines an S Line without lighting pack and has LED lighting both sides of the boot.

Mines the sportback sports and its has only one boot light from the right. There is a bulb holder on the left but t8ups had a look at my car back in AITP 2013 and said its too much work for one bulb to be put in place.

You get an extra light with the Storage and luggage compartment package which is standard on the S-Line.

includes storage nets on the backs of the front
seat back rests, storage net in the front passenger
footwell, 12V socket in the rear centre console
and storage compartment under the rear seat.
In the luggage compartment there is an additional
multi-fastening point, net in the side compartment,
luggage securing net, 12V socket and additional
LED lighting

It quite strange some of the difference between the standard and some of the options. You can understand the some of the additional items but one light or two seems a bit strange.

Cheers guys! It doesn't bother me that it's not there. But it would've if it was broken . Bit of a random option for Audi to chuck in though.

One other thing to add, the reason why there is two plastic nubs (if thats what you like to call it) is that when you lower the boot shelf, its able to rest on both sides so its level rather than just one.

I think the additional LED lighting was only standard from MY13. There was another thread on this a while back - my car was delivered in March 2013 and doesn't haven't the additional lighting but the original brouchure (pre MY13) didn't mention it as the latest version does. Bit annoying!

Yeah I'm aware of that one. Much to my dealers surprise when I told him about it on collection

How bright is the boot lighting? It's pretty woeful in my 8P, hoping it has improved somewhat...
