1.8t new internals.

what gains can i get with this?

You misunderstood mate... apologies I should have been more specific... you asked "Did the weight saving makes difference or is a waste of money?"... what I meant to say was "on a road car with a K04 they are a waste of money"..

What kind off setup they are a good choice

seems unsual and ott to me..
I'm not sure that Ti rods have short life expectancy.. they will not produce power higher rpm for you if thats your desire on an otherwise normal spec motor

Always learning....
After reading a lot i realise that for my goals (350hp at 8000rpm) i dont need pistons our crankshaft.
My block only will have:
- Rifle drilled rods
- OE coated pistons, helps detonation.

The head to rev at 8000 rpm thats a Problem (yes i know, i need a bigger turbo to make power at 8k)
Some experience people said that OE head can make 7800rpm with low EGTs, and I just want more 200rpm.
So what you say about put 1mm washer in springs, Titanium retainers and inconel exhaust valves.

Mate... you are still not getting it are you....

if you want to rev to 8000rpm then all you have to do is get the limit lifted in the map... bingo... 8k rev limit... however... if you want it to survive 8000rpm then fit a FULL supertech valvetrain (not silly bodges like washers) and if you want to make power at 8000rpm fit a bigger turbo and cams...

OE pistons won't come coated so you will have to find someone to coat them for you...

Yes you can hit 7800rpm on a std head but to get low EGT's you have to make sure the exhaust gasses can get out in the first place... its not just the head, its the sum total of the fitted hardware... it all has to be right...

Ie like lupo... which does not need or use a high rev limit as the peak power has happened already.. 7300rpm limit on it currently

Tuffy i have two engines. One is in the car the other is to build to my goals.
Full Suppertech valvetrain is very expensive to only more 200rpm.

Badger5 when you fit a large port head in lupo?
