I'm wanting to do the honeycomb conversion front grill on my S3 8p (pre facelift). Does anybody know if you can buy just the surround for the grill or am I going to have to chop up a second hand S3 grill??

Most people use a RS3 grill, there is a group buy that i think is still going on, although think it does have to be butchered a bit to fit the pre facelift!
For instance if I buy one of these FK Automotive Tuning Shop | ABS Sport Grill for Audi A3 (Typ 8P) Yr. 05-08 | purchase online in what way would it not fit? Are the fixings in the wrong place, will it be too long or too short?
Very nice mate. I was thinking of the one like I posted just for the cost factor. Would the fixings be in the right place on the above 1?
On an A3 yes... If your doing it on a S3 then that FK 1 wont fit... S3 grill is slightly smaller than A3's

Im not too bothered if its abit long because I was planning on choping it up anyway. I just wondering if the fixings r in the correct place.
Thats what i'm saying fella... The whole grill surround is longer and the frame, it wont fit without a lot of modification
Arrgh I c. So with the market filled with aftermarket grills will none of them be easy to convert in to an S3 one like you can with the RS6 one. I just don't fancy spending £300+ on one just to cut it up lol.
