Apologise firstly if this has been covered in another thread...

Looking for downpipe and sports cat to connect to original exhaust so can go stage 2+ along with intake and pump.

Have read that the milltek is a different diameter so may not mate up correctly?

Want to keep the standard cat back part of exhaust as prefer the stealthy look and standard tips.

What's my best option and best place to purchase?

I'm wanting to do the same thing.
Bcs will supply a downpipe with 200 cell cat and adapter to fit original catback but it's about £600

Do you not need the full system for stage 2+?

The milltek is around £650 but will then need connector from 3" to 2.5" to fit to standard exhaust, is the bcs one 3"?

Thought it was just the down pipe and sports cat as the standard cat back isn't very restrictive, is 2.5" however so may be wrong?

The bcs is 3" and does include the reducer so ready to fit.
Also the bcs one has a larger flexi than the Milltek and doesn't break welds.

A downpipe is enough to go stage 2+ although you may not see all the extra power but I doubt you'd notice.

Another option as heavily discussed on here yesterday is the Cobra system, its £820 for a full system with a sports cat. Seems like good value for money, but I'm not sure how many people on here run them or can rate them… Mark at BroTek aka Brodster on here gave me a very good price on the standard BCS full system not the power valve... give him a message :)

Just a quick question .... Will just a down pipe fit a standard exhaust system ? I had nicer tips welded too my standard system as I liked the stock sound but found the tips way too small .... I'm now wanting a little more noise without changing the cat back. Cheers

If you buy a downpipe and say that you want to fit it to standard cat back then most will supply the reducer needed to fit.

Yup also just received a BCS 200 cell downpipe and centre link pipe which has the 3" - 2.5" reducer.

I bought a Cobra downpipe as I got a good price on it, certainly give a boost in performance but I found with my standard catback it was very raspy when cold.
Too loud for my as I leave home at 5am
Also when cruising at 80-90ish it was fairly noisy.
I've since picked up a Milltek resonated catback which was only a few months old at a great price and now it sounds great.
Not as good as my previous BCS system but for just over half the price I'm happy.

I would like only to change the downpipe and keep the OE catback. I suppose it will be raspy no matter which
downpipe I choose. Would it help if I mounted a resonator on the downpipe?

Doesn't matter which downpipe you mate to your original catback they are raspy when cold but sound ok when warm.
Just a downpipe is enough to go stage 2+ as I'm currently running.
I'm selling my Cobra downpipe because I want a BCS powervalve, it's always been on the cards but I wanted stage 2+ and funds wouldn't allow a BCS at the time.
The cobra downpipe is a good reliable cheap way of going 2+ but if your a real fussy person then you pay for perfection.
