hello people

I have a 8l S3 with:

Hybrid turbo (tfsi turbine and mfs compressor)
3" downpipe and exhaust
Badger5 exhaust manifold (requested iam waiting delivery)
Bigger Injectors
Big IC.

Now i need some help because i have a AEB Head and 1.8t Block.

i have doubts, i dont know what to fit in the block and the AEB head.

I will fit 2.0tdi crankshat and 86.4mm pistons.
Can someone tell me the best and lighter conrods and piston.

About the head i want 8000rpm.
what parts i need to achive this values

yes it fit, but we have to work bore

I think you are a little confused my friend...

86.4mm is the stroke of the std 1.8 crank... TFSI stroker cranks are 92.8mm stroke

1.8t blocks can be bored to a MAX of 83.5mm but no one really goes over 83mm as its not reliable and largely pointless...

To convert your 1.8 20v to a 2ltr you will need a TFSI crank from a petrol engine (not a TDi like you posted unless this is a typo) and 83mm bore stroker pistons... JE or CP pistons are the normal ones to choose from and 9.25:1 to 9.5:1 compression ratio depending on manufaturer

As for 8000rpm capable head... you may want to consider an 8000rpm capable turbo first... you will also need cams to get it breathing enough too

Valvetrain wise you would need a full supertech setup so single groove inconel exhaust valves, single groove nitrided inlets and valve spring set..

Std cams and a K04 hybrid will struggle take make power beyond 7k rpm...

I want 8000rpm to improve top speed.
i was hopping i only need valve guide to achive rpm....

If you want to get to 175ish mph in 6th gear (7,000+ plus) you will need a turbo that can produce enough power to turn those gears fast enough.

I hope i can get 350hp at 8000 with This turbo

350bhp @ 8k?

I dont think so.
peak power will be at lower rpm

Full uprated valvetrain for those revs.. and a nice balanced bottom end also

TDi crank...?

Hmmm

Hmmm

TDI crankshaft Part # 038 105 021 E or equivalent
IE 06A 1.8T 20V 2.1L 2067CC Stroker Engine Kit (8.5:1 CR)

Dyno 345hp

i hope my engine will have those values more 500rpm

you will have more torque, sooner, but as for peak power being achieved that high I suspect not.
it will have diesel torque with some more revs to play with I think

The TDi crank messes with the rod angles too much as the 20v block is shorter than the 1.9tdi block... I have reason to believe that the TDi cranks don't make very high revving engines and your 8k limit may not be achievable

<tuffty/>

That part code is for the 1.9TDi crank... the 2ltr TDi is a larger bore is all... 1.9Tdi is 79.5mm bore by 95.5mm stroke... 2ltr TDi is 81mm bore by 95.5mm stroke

As I said... the extra stroke of the TDi crank messes with the rod angles which means the engine won't rev as high as using stock stroke or the TFSI crank...

Andrew@ALD has done this build though...

Thanks for sharing knowledge and experience.
For my goals what do you recommend?

revvy... is to pump more airflow thru a small engine on larger turbo (aka badgerwagen)
you should spec total flow output from the turbo to your motor.

Why the 8k rpm - ?? whats so special about the rpm? (top speed vmax run or something?)

I want the top speed is 300km/h
How I spec total flow output from the turbo to motor?
The compressor is a mfs tfsi 7+7

want top speed choose suitable gearing if this is your turbo choice.

8krpm is spinning fast for 95.5mm stroker crank on 1.8t block

186mph from a K04-023 hybrid....

Is that even do able?

Thanks for the information
i will keep ori crankshaft
But Badger you have car mapped with 345hp at 7600rpm with no large head, its so hard to have more 400rpm?

youre missing the point and misreading the dyno chart completely.

where does it make peak power?

it does not make any more power after 7k or so. At 8k it will nose dive faster than id **** dive on Amber Heard. Ie, pointless

you need to read the dyno plot better miguel
peak power not @ those revs my friend

So the big problem in 8000rpm is turbo abilitie to flow the exhaust and exhaust temp????

no, the ability to flow significant airflow above those rpms (turbo shaft speed). If you had a compressor map and overlaid rpm for your displacement you would see that at X rpm the turbo would be out of its efficiency range and hence be making no more power.

want top speed fit a diesel gbox..

had a lc180 in last week, diesel box, owner was'nt aware it was, 5th gear 3krpm was 95mph.
long legged mofo.

Thanks people.
Now I understant, too keep power at high rpm it needs a big compressor wheel.

Coating piston what do you think about this???

Thanks but with this gearbox the car will be more slow and i dont want that

I think you need a new car.
Funny guy
when i do something i like to know why and learn because learning is a great thing
