hi guys need a few answers if you can help?

1. can you tell the difference between a 150 and 180bhp model?
2. did they all have abs or only a few?
3. if it does have abs is there a light on the dash that should go out?

ABS light is just about in line with 70 mph here is a pic of a tqs as it's easy to see where they all are should light up orange.

1.8t sport, if we're talking fwd, have three spoke sport steering wheel, lowered sport suspension, sport seats, and 5 spoke 16" alloys. 150bhp

1.8t Quattro sport has white dials, aluminum door and dash trim, unique half leather sport seats, black headlining, 17" bolero alloys,
Front upper strut brace. 180 bhp

Probably missed off a few bits, but that's most of it

But im not sure if mine has these

If you have boost gauge you will see 10-12 psi if 180bhp and if you have a Quattro 1.8T then it will be 180bhp

Front strut brace is behind the bulkhead(?) right in front of the battery. It's a flat metal bar going across the engine.

Hi I hope this is where I post lol I have a 1999 audi a4 1.8t quot and having some problems I can only get 1 speaker working front near side any idears what is wrong or advice on how to fix this my wife's driving me crazy lol personally I like listening to the engine but you know what the woman are like lol thanks

Speakers probably shot. Try swapping it to the passenger side see if it works on the other side.

Mine did this swapped it out for a good one and it fixed it.

Does it have Bose too? If it does should have little emblems on the speaker grilles. Also what stereo is it, should have a name like chorus or symphony?

It has an alpine stereo in the audi looks like it has all the origanal speakers

Pull the stereo out and check the connectors, have you also checked balance and fade?
Reason I ask about the Bose is if it had Bose originally the rears are driven by a seperate amp so rears won't work without some messing, if it doesn't have Bose I don't think you have those problems.

Funny mine doesn't have this.... And that the first time Ive seen one! I've seen about 5 TQS's now All Avants now though.
Is this on a Saloon?
I cant remember what turbo is on mine - but I know it is a 180bhp model as it gave that on the rollers.
Also the rear boot badges have a red under line on the boot lid and the T of the 1.8 T has a red vertical part.

The oem fitted strut brace doesn't use the strut top brackets. It mounts to welded points on the shell. It will be under the scuttle hiding behind the wiring
