Morning all can anybody advise me about adding cruise and possibly fitting a mfa to my 06 b7 06 sline 140 tdi .
Many thanks Dan

I had much better equipment on my 03 golf .

We can supply/fit the cruise & dis control, ping a PM if interested :)

Any idea what the dis stalk would cost, and thanks for a speedy reply

IIRC they're about £90, but we price as a supply/fit all in one.

That's great news I can't believe they don't have one as standard all I need is to pick the car up march 29th then give you guys a call .
Many thanks Dan

No worries, remember that's just the stalk price though, subject to rises from audi unfortunately, prices dont go down with VAG lol.

I'll PM my details :)

Surely an S line should have cruise as std?
My wifes SE has and thats really basic

My S Line didn't come with it either. I got the stalk and lower trim for the steering column for £80 from an Audi dealer on EBay. Took less than an hour to fit and my mate coded the car to activate it.

Thanks I'm sure I will be able to add a few nice extras

Whether an SE or an S-Line, it's amazing how little came as standard in the B6/B7 era. The good news is there's lots of stuff that can be retro-fitted, and if like me you are hopeless at doing it yourself, then NHN is on hand to do it for you. Just feed him his own weight in tea and toast and you're guaranteed a first rate job.

ive still got two weeks until i collect the car and cant wait

this is not the car but looks just the same

B7

i'm having the hex shaft on the oil pump changed almost straight away then retro fitting dis and cruise . i must admit that i had better level of equipment on a fiat flatbed i used to drive . lol

I'm not sure if I've made the right decision with this b7 but I must say they look really nice .my fingers are tightly crossed that I don't have any issues .

Company in Gloucester but certainly not the robbing Audi stealers the hex shaft is less than £5 oil and filter about £30 all from tps . The guy reckons he can do it in about 2 to 3 hours so alI reckon £200 will be enough .

Ok mines a BRE 140 on a 56 reg I don't know if she is gear driven as no one knows did the dip stick test and it seems as though it is but really would love peace of mind , my only concern at the mo is the vibration through the throttle pedal at all speeds as ight miss at around 1800 rpm

Give Tps a bell and give them your chassis number and they will tell you .

Get yourself on eBay and you'll get yourself a DIS stalk for about £25.

One from a B6 or B7 will do - just make sure it's the correct one for your car in terms of saloon / avant.

Genuine new cruise kits can also be found for circa £60-£70 IIRC. Probably factor in the cost of a clutch switch too which was about £15, again, from memory.

Not a difficult job. If you've got someone who knows VCDS and you're even semi competent with spanners, it's probably a job that can be done in a couple of hours.
