Like matt colours, but not blue ones.
Matt grey would look incredible.

Matt grey just looks like they forgot the top coat and left it as bare primer to me. That blue is awesome though.

Just don't see the appeal with Matt colours..

Matte Grey RS6, anyone?

Yes, I believe that is factory, as when you configure the car through Audi's website for Sepang Blue, it allows you to select matt or crystal effect.

The matt blue is not doing it for me either - much prefer regular pearl sepang.

However, the matt grey car looks great and the effect suits that shade much more IMO.

I certainly wouldn't want to be dordling in the outside lane with that RS6 bearing down on me. Makes it look even more mean than usual.

On the fence until in front of me, some angles its nice others awful.

Beautiful! Both in blue and grey. Saw an M6 Gran Coupe in frozen blue the other day (had to take a cheeky pic):

A pain to keep clean apparantly though!

I think the commission from a fully loaded R8 with matt any colour would probably get you a hint of one.

£3750 for the finish of an........

Egg

forgive my simplistic analysis but this is the first thing that comes to mind when i see a matt finish.

Cars need to shine IMO.

It's basically a way to stand out. You can have really nice metallic paint on a Lambo, but most won't be able to tell the difference between that and the metallic paint on a Skoda. For now at least, matte finishes are more exclusive.
