After having the Bmw a couple of weeks now I am planning on detailing it this weekend, but i need a little bit of advise please of what order these products will come in.

I have bought some Iron X Cherry smell so they say (It absolutely stinks ! It made me heave when i took the lid off and smelt it) Anyway do i use this before claying or after claying or both ?
I have also bought some Auto Finesse Power Seal after reading the good reviews about it. Do i use this before or after applying Angel Wax Desirable or both ?

I also bought one of these Demon Shine snow foam things for the hose pipe: Demon Shine Snow Foam With Built In Gun Head 2 Litre / Ltr Car Valet / Valeting | eBay
Yes for the hose pipe. I don't trust using the pressure washer for the cars.
How do i use this ? Do i apply it to the dirty car and rinse it then wash and use it again after wash and rinse it off.

Thanks :)

The iron x comes before claying the car, however if you wanted to do before and after I can't see it doing any harm.

I'm not to sure about the sealant so I wouldn't want to say Incase it's wrong. However does a sealant not essentially do the same thing as a wax?

I'm interested to see how you get on with the demon foam as I am like you and don't trust the jet wash on my paint. So if you wouldn't mind could you post back how you get on with it please? I currently use a citrus pre wash the process I use is: I rinse the car, spray with pre wash then go round with a detailing brush and agitate any stubborn bits and grills etc, then rinse. Then wash with 2 bucket method. As you are going to go on and use iron x/clay bar I don't see the need for a second round of snow foam.

Iron-X first then clay
Power Seal then wax
Let me know how you get with the demon shine foam, these are a pre-wash soak that's all snow foams are good for IMO a power washer removes more dirt than snow foam, but if your foam is removing dirt without the need for hand contact I would be wondering what else its removing.I have used a shed load of foams from oh neutral to contact less to ones that leave foam lying on the ground for weeks after you wash the car lol.

Stetheo:

I might just iron x before claying the iron x again after claying to get as many bit of contamination off the paint as possible. I dont think the paint will be contaminated too much anyway as its only 7 months old/10500 miles.

I am thinking about putting sealant on after i have iron x and clayed it and then putting the Desirable on then sealant on top of that but i am sure somebody will be here soon to correct me.

I will certainly let you know about the Demon foam no problem. I dont like using the pressure wash as i am scared it will blast my paint off.

Thanks for the reply :)

Yeah to be honest, you could iron x then clay and if the claying is removing a lot of decontaminants still, iron x again. If claying isn't removing many decontaminants I would say a second iron x is unnecessary.

Yeah seems like that's the correct way to do it, my plan is black hole haze then wax. Might look into a sealant as well depending how it goes for you.

Thanks, appreciate that. I am the same scared of ruining any paint work with a pressure washer and I keep seeing the demon foam before wheeler dealers and keep thinking I should give it a go so will be interested to see how it goes.

Yeah you have the right idea. Looking forward to getting it done :) Hope the weather is nice.
I will get some pictures uploaded when i have finished too, although they wont be appreciated as much as it isnt an Audi :lmfao:
I will expect the windscreen to be streaky too after i have finished with the demon shine and all the waxes so i will spray some Carpro Eraser onto the windscreen which will make it clear again. It is a blue spray that removes oils and waxes.

At least I'm not the only one who looks forward to a good detailing sesh! I am also hoping the weather holds out :)

Haha sod that, surely everyone appreciates a well detailed car...I know I do! What colour is colour is your bm? The dynamik you have is a corker of a car!

Oh nice I've not heard of that, it decent? I was going to invest in some 3m glass cleaner as I've only read good things, then maybe some h2go from the detailing barn as a repellent.

Yeah it is good it clears all the oil/wax away and the windscreen is no longer streaky.

what clay are you useing pal? im new to this detailing lark :)

Both cars look great! I'm quite a fan of the 535/335d they have absolutely amazing engines. A remap only helps as well haha..

Might look into getting some of that then, as I need something for my windows.

I've currently got a clay bar which I got from Mark @ Brotek, he is a member on here (username Brodster) could be worth giving him a shout if you're new to it and need a little bit of guidance. But as mentioned above the megs clay bar is good, I think they sell it as a kit along with their quick detailer.

All done. Spent 6 hours detailing the Bodywork.
That Demon Foam is fantastic. Just simply attach the end of the hose pipe to it and start with the roof. It gives off loads of foam and doesnt take much liquid from the bottle either. It gets all the dirt off the body before you wash it. I would seriously recommend it.

That's good to know, may have to invest in some demon foam then!

I spent about 3 hours detailing the interior today and going to move onto the exterior tomorrow. Anyway pictures or it didn't happen....

I didn't take any pictures today. Reason is i cant get them on my new computer yet because i haven't set it up properly. Its also got its smaller winter wheels on too but will try and get some up soon. I had to hose it down afterwards to see the beading. The beading was phenomenal ! It was like there was a sheet over the car it was so weird.

Method:
Rinse with hose pipe.
Demon Foam then rinse off with hose.
Then gave it a hot bath using 2 bucket method inc grit guards (Meguiars Ultimate Wash & Wax)
Iron X from top to bottom.
Auto Glym clay bar & QED from Angel Wax. (Mark from Brotek)
Lime Prime
Turtle Wax White colour magic
Chemical guys butter wet wax
Auto glym super resin
Auto Finesse Power Seal
Finally Angel Wax desirable
I decided to use up all my old waxes.
The car has an amazing shine now it feels and looks stunning. It took just over 6 hours from start to finish excluding the interior.

Haha nice, that is a lot of wax you used there! I bet the finish looks amazing now doesn't it. Real shame you can't get pics as I would love to see it now.

Good work anyway, can't go wrong putting a little TLC in. I've got a few more little bits to buy then I will be carry out something almost identical in the next couple of weeks. Although I will only be using AG super resin, black hole haze and dark angel. Not quite as many layers as yours!

What was the snow foam like for sitting on the ground after rinsing the car? I've heard some are very thick and stick around?

I love the finish it looks brilliant.
To be fair mine didn't need all them layers, they were the polishes/waxes i don't use such as colour magic and lime prime and butter wet wax so i thought i would just throw it all on anyway before sealant and the most important Angel Wax desirable.
If you go to this link: http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/detailing/203031-angel-wax-brotek-wow.html
First post second picture that is my drive.
I foamed the Bm today in the same place, the foam were all over the floor but after i cleaned the car and rinsed it with the hose pipe it washed all the foam away there were none in site so that was okay.

Yeah fair enough, may as well of while you were already at it :)

Ah yeah that's not too bad as long as it easily washed away, I'm going to go and get myself some tomorrow.

Yeah its good stuff.
Order some off ebay you might find its cheaper.

Top effort there! Just one suggestion. If you wax then use super resin polish, the SRP will take the wax back off as it's lightly abrasive.

I was going to buy some demon shine snow foam and wife said use the stuff you have first, checked the garage and i have 3 x 5litre angelwax foams 1 x 5L valet pro ph neutral plus a 1L am going to be foaming for a while lol.
