I didn't bother getting the upgraded *** or B+O sound systems nor try the standard one, as coming from a focus the standard sound system in them was fine for me. I love electro house and trance music and in the Ford you couldn't get it anywhere near full tilt because it was too loud as standard. So didn't give the sound system in the Audi a second thought........ Bit of a mistake on my part in hindsight!

The standard system is fine, even for dance music, with a bit extra boost on the bass and plenty of treble I'm quite satisfied with the quality of the audio. It's just out isn't all that loud even on 34. Granted it doesn't have the pounding bass of a sub but it's acceptable, just wish it was louder.

So what I'm trying to say is. For anyone in two minds about upgrading their sound system.... Without a shadow of a doubt.... DO IT!

34? Blimey mine is loud enough on 10, my ears would start bleeding at 34...

 pahaha.... I guess I'm too used to visiting nightclubs! Wouldn't care, at my last employer check up they said my hearing was spot on.

Well I played in a band for a few years and I am sure because of that my ears sometimes now 'rattle'....

Yeah I'm never above 15 on mine, normally around 10 myself

Oh, I don't mean I'm constantly on 34. Just if a banging tune comes on I can't help thinking it could be louder. Just pootling along chatting to the wife 8 or 9 is fine (20 if I don't want to listen hehe).

Good to hear that you're happy with the quality of the sound, if not the volume.

I originally had *** specced but have just dropped it so I can take possession of the car 13weeks ahead of schedule!
