Hi all,

Tried doing a search but couldn't find what I'm looking for...

Rear brakes need changing over, I was wondering if the wheel bearings are housed in the disc like they were in previous VAG cars I've owned? Anything out of sorts I need to know about or a simple change over?

Thanks in advance :)

I did my pads last month, you need a tool to wind the piston back in.
Although I didn't replace the discs, I could see it would be very easy with one pozi head screw.
My car is a 2001 S3.

Bearings and discs are separate fella.

From my 8L memory the rear discs are so cheap, it's not worth just doing the pads alone.

Thanks all!

Yeh no chance I'm doing just the pads - just wanted to make sure I didn't need to order/pre load the bearings into the discs!

Thanks again :)

Wish I'd looked at the price, they only £20 on carparts4less.
