Tints

I think the matrix lines are unavoidable, will always see the lines.

Just had my windows tinted from Kevlon Autofilm - Car Window Tinting Specialist. (Kevin) with factory percentage shade, looks good but there were a few water bubbles and according to him it would take a few days or a week for them to clear.
Bit worried but guess I will have to wait it out.

There are always a few wee bubbles pal, but they will go when the tint film settles, the guy I use always asks me to go back in 7 days or so, so that he can smooth out any bubbles that don't disappear, never had an issue

Kevin is a nice guy, but he hasn't asked me to bring it back to him yet and said gotta wait it out.
There's a bubble about 5mm wide, hoping that won't cause a problem.

I think I gotta go outside and do my sun dance :)

we need photos :) how dark does it look ?

He said the shade I chose was factory so not too sure. It looked like one of the lighter shades compared to dark smoke and limo.

I repositioned the car to face the sun so the water bubbles can absorb the heat/light quicker lol

It's quite bright outside right now but this is what I literally just took:

What shade is that then ?? that looks spot on to me im not going for anything to dark I want it to look like the factory shade also.

Looks like dark smoke to me, they look to be near enough the same as mine and mine are dark smoke. Looks good whatever tint it is

Where are the bubbles rear windows back screen?

There are a few small pin head ones at the rear windscreen, and a few pin ones on the one you can see here.
Not very visible from the outside, but if you sit on the inside of the car you can see them.

It's only a few, but nothing too dramatic

No idea, I don't think it is dark smoke as it looked more like 50% to me when he showed me the examples, but then again 50% on top of a already 30% audi standard tint would make it darker than 50%.

Looks good to me, and not far off the factory privacy glass shade!

5cm bubble
i doubt that will go away by its self

get your lass's hair dryer on it from the out side tho
the pin head bubbles may be dust
where on the glass is the 5mm bubble

There's a few more but you can't really see them unless you go looking for them, I guess they will disappear over time.

Not the best of pictures:

I had the same thing for about two days after then they completely disappeared. Just liquid from applying them I was told. :)

I reckon I should of done it in the summer, think I got a long wait ahead

Cheers mate, yeah that sounds good. So far I haven't thought about mobile ones. Was just thinking since I have family in London and the midlands, I can always drive there.

Thanks. They r just down the M11 from me.
Your dark smoke tint looked good as well, which is reassuring.

If you wanna meet up pal for a look at mine let me know
