PCV repair

I'm going for the repair approach rather than catch tank.
Found the split part, 06A 103 213 AK, and almost fell off my seat when I found out its £50!!!
Wasnt paying that, so I brought 0.5m of pipe from a boat chandler. Only issue is that the internal bore is quite a bit smaller than the broken part, is that important ?
It's a 210 bhp AMK engine, and the pipes aren't the same as on the guide, why is this ?
Also snapped the dip stick, with part of it getting stuck inside the tube from block!

Is this the part? http://bit.ly/TfvAYb a bit cheaper on eBay but not sure on quality. I had the broken dipstick when that pipe snapped on mine had to pull the bits out with a screw driver!

I've replied to this once, not sure what's happened.
It's not the part in picture, that part is the other side of t piece and goes into block.

The part isn't on the picture, think it would be the blue arrow.

Ahhhhh... I know the part...

Yeah, bonkers expensive for a plastic pipe... the one pictured below...

I replaced mine with a metal one from an Ibiza as there was one available when I looked through the parts bin...

Normally use 19mm ID hose for doing PCV deletes etc... may be worth looking into doing that and fitting a catch can... works out a little more than 50 quid but at least its spent doing something worthwhile and getting rid of all the stuff under the inlet that rots and splits causing more issues down the line

That assembly of hoses in the pic above (excluding the bend from the ebay link) is around 100 quid on its own

My repair for now it's diesel marine fuel line, internal bore was about 6mm, is that ok ?

Yeah I bent over for one those - about £40ish I think I paid. What a rip off!

Too small tbh... 19mm else the pcv will back up from lack of breathing capability and blow oil out of seals and anywhere else it can

Will I lose the brakes if it pops off? I guess not as its been split for some time.....

No... brake servo is on the opposite end to the throttle body...

But all part of the delete if I go that route ?
Wish I'd left it now, as now worrying I've damaged some of the servo related hoses.

The servo hose is attached to the 'V' shaped hose on the end of the inlet manifold (washer bottle side)... for the delete you just connect whats left of the hose of the servo to the outlet on the end once you have removed all the pipes etc from underneath the inlet

I think i might have the pipe that tuffty has posted, i think the one i removed was metal tho? I removed it all to fit catch can. I'll have a look up the garage in the next couple of days to see if its still there or been thrown out if you want?

Just checked I have one of those maybe 12 months old from when I fitted my catch can your welcome to hadn't got round to chucking all the scrap pipes out yet.

I replaced that exact hose this week! I used one of these , four of these and two of these. Quite abit larger than the pipe thats in it originally, but it seems to of done the job. You have to go under the existing pipe thats in the way rather that over it though due to it being less flexable, So closer to the gear box linkage.

Is it the plastic version ?

Yeah plastic about 2 weeks after I had the car last May the elbow by the oil filter split totally so ended up replacing that in the process noticed that one was split. If it's any good to you I'll post it to you it's currently in the back of my van connected to everything else as I'd been meaning to chuck it all away!

No appears totally sound it was brand new when fitted and has done less then 10k miles only taken off for the catch can to be fitted. I don't want anything for it as it was destined for the bin but if it's of help to someone it's a bonus.
