What have you done today?

Do you have the same setup with trigs brackets ??

I just did it to be different lol and save the agro if the handbrake cables wont adjust as i read somewhere that they can seize up.

Picked up my A6 today to replace my Mk5 golf, it's been a good car but I don't think much to the golf's build quality.

It's a 3.0TDi quattro S-line avant, with a decent spec, its been in the family for a good few years and been used & abused so needs a fair bit of work doing to it but got it at a very good price.

lovely motor mate and looks like great spec.

That's what I'm currently looking at as my next motor.
That or a 5 series touring.

Does the glass section in the boot open separately, like the BMWs?

Whats the miles on that 184k?
I can't make it out.

It's well spec'ed out Xenons, Nav Bluetooth, LED rear light, Light & rain sensors, heated seats, full leather, cruise control, front & rear parking sensors. The glass is fixed, but I don't see the point in the split glass thing, you either open the glass bit of the boot or the boot, you still have to open something. It's not like the range rovers where the boot folds down so you can use it as a seat.

It's on 184K, but I've already order all new front control arms, and shocks & springs. I'm also going to replace all the rear arms and axle guides, engine & gearbox mount and any other bushes that need replacing.

I'm still going to keep my B5 and split the mileage between them.

That's impressive spec mate.
Weldone mate.

I've used the split boot lid loads of times on my old BMW, Dad's Touareg and the X5.
Its come in useful so many times.

never took any pictures but todays jobs were..
changed my heater plugs, new leak off pipes, washed the car and got my rear wash wipe working
I also fitted the aero style wiper blades that were fitted to my last car.
Im still after a set of Passat b5.5 arms though

tomorrows jobs will be .. hover the car out and change my centre console as im missing the arm rest

Have you got a link to what the Passat b5.5 arms look like, my wiper arms are jumping around once you are at around 75, so looking to replace the arms, as I think the springs have gone soft.

Uploadfromtaptalk1393711160488these are my ones been on two years now, they are pretty good, though there is a little area on the passanger side that doesn't get wiped, just about where the tax disc is so not really noticeable. Also don't turn them on with your bonnet up or you will take all the paint off the edge!

Well that's the next mod for the A4 sorted, do you know how much the arms are?

I couldn't find any at a breakers, so I got mine off eBay for about 100 iirc, one of the blades is actually a polo blade, and the other is a passat blade.

Yeah, I have been to Perth Audi, got the inlet manifold gaskits, I'm night off on Wednesday/Thursday, so you can guess what I'm doing lol
What's the best thing to use to remove the crud?

I used a mixture of gunk, petrol and left it sitting in diesel for a few hours.
I also used a bottle brush on it which done the trick.

wear old clothes that you wont mind binning afterwards as if you get the crud on any you'll never get them clean

when do you want these wheels?

Finally fitted my S4 bumper, and another mismatched alloy went on!Uploadfromtaptalk1393759104018

Looking good.

Getting there, sideskirts and rear are a mixture of santorin and nogaro at the minute, when funds allow I'll get them painted up and fitted.

On another note your manifold still hasn't gone, but I'm definitely off weds, so you will have it for das weekend!

I want some skirts for her car as her door trims are hanging off. 2 birds one stone etc. No problem. Just let me know to look out for it

Well today gents I fitted my crack free centre console and also fitted some 110 injectors to the derv. Had other plans but garage is very small and didn't have room to do the fli front speakers

Fitted interior LED kit, then washed, clayed, polished and waxed.

Weldone Bradders.
Cheap parts? :)

I possibly drove Audrey for the last time.
Since I'm cycling to work from tomorrow and for the 2 weekends I'm away and taking the Leon, so no need to drive the Audi.

Im hoping so, going to price some S4 B6 rear discs up this week :) as only need pads and discs now to do the upgrade on the rears !!

Oh and i only got made redundant friday took voluntry 5 year service so took a little bit off a bonus 2k+ So happy days !!

Bit of a late update but oh well.

Saturday i fitted my new front right ABS sensor and it seems thats fixed my ABS problem which is nice. I was worried that it would be the wires in the module, but it appears not.

I then went underneath and swapped out my stupid concrete spec gearbox mounts with new standard lemforder ones from a 2.5TDI.

I hoped it would cure my gearbox whine, but no, it hasnt, however the car is now far more pleasant to drive with no horrible vibrations permeating thru the shell any more. I guess i'll keep an eye open for a sensibly priced replacement gearbox, and otherwise just ignore unless it breaks!

I've only gone and washed the TQS!! First time in 6 months and only a quick once over but it's a start. I really want to get the car looking good again this year as it's currently looking a little sorry for itself :(
